Is it necessary for all to suffer?

Sid: Di, where were you? 

Vaish: I had gone to water the plants. But why were you searching me? 

Sid: I wasn't searching you, just asked. 

Vaish: Hmm. 

Sid: Di, dada had told me everything. So weren't you angry on him earlier? You didn't even know the truth. 

Vaish: No, I was a bit hurt but then soon after I found of Abhi being here I found out the truth too.

Sid: Hmm. 

Vaish: Btw Sid, do you know what had happened? Abhi seems to be so different. 

Sid: No di, I don't. 

He lied, remembering when Abhi had said him the truth. 

Flashback: 

Sid: Dada, you never said me earlier, what had happened after Avu went? And from where did Rini come? Now suddenly you want to say, I am happy that you want to, but did something happen? 

Abhi: No, don't worry. Its just I feel its time you know. I don't know how Rini knew me and everything, but she wanted me. She is the daughter of a gang leader, that's why she had gun the other day. I didn't know how to shoot, but I could act like I know after seeing her shoot so many times. The bullet wasn't supposed to touch her anyways. 

Sid: I thought you really knew how to. 

Abhi: No, I didn't. I'm surprised she didn't realise that despite being using guns since so many years. 

Sid: I understood that she wanted you, but I don't understand how she was your girlfriend till now. And why were you living with her? 

He had many more questions, but stopped at this for once so Abhi can answer. 

Abhi: She had every detail about me, her men whom she called her friends, they were always near you. Her one word and they could kill you. I knew if she is behind you then not only you but all are in danger and you are the one in the most danger. I already once almost lost you, I couldn't take the risk. 

Sid's eyes got teary hearing the last line but he blinked back the tears. 

Sid: What did she do then? 

Abhi: Earlier it was just locking me inside so I don't escape, but with time she realised I won't try to escape and I was almost in depression by then. The darkness and loneliness, her words and taunts, her warnings to kill you and everything. The way my marriage with Avu had been didn't help. Rini asked me to live with her only but she didn't keep me locked anymore and I agreed, not having any other option. Every time she would look at me, she wouldn't hesitate showing the lust. 

Sid kind of understood what he'll say further but kept quiet and listened. 

Abhi: Soon she started forcing me, using me like a sex slave. She knew I'll never love her but didn't care about that. If she asked me to, I had to even say "I love you" to her. With time it wasn't her forcing me but me forcing myself, doing everything she asked me to like a puppet. Maybe it wasn't just the fear anymore. On one side the guilt of hurting you all so that me and Avu can go, hurting Avu just to save her, then the depression and fear, lastly me not being able to feel my own body, like she owned it, all this led me to start self harming even more. Earlier it was just like using the nails, but now it had become more. Using glass pieces to cut or hitting my head somewhere or anything like that. 

Sid closed his eyes, remembering the bruises and cuts he had seen on Abhi, the ones on head not visible yet painful. Seeing and hearing it caused him so much pain, the pain Abhi felt was beyond his thoughts. He felt his cheeks getting wet and immediately wiped away the tears. He looked at Abhi who was silently crying with his eyes closed so he couldn't see Sid. He kept his hand on Abhi's shoulder, making him open his eyes and look at him. Sid hugged him tightly and he broke down, unable to control his emotions anymore. 

Flashback ends. 

Vaish: Sid, where are you lost? 

Sid: Nowhere di. 

Vaish: Anyways, Avu has come. Jai was calling us. 

Sid: Oh, lets go then. 

They both went out.
