Chapter 7
Days gone by
All I want to do is go back. This place isn't my home. It never will be my home.
Dad keeps saying our old town is cursed because of everything that happened. But it's not. I know it's not.
"Y/N! Come take a look at this!" My dad calls from the kitchen.
"What is it?" I ask, looking at what seems to be another newspaper.
'Five children found dead in the backroom of Fazbears Family Diner'
"Holy shit. That means-"
"Whoever killed Charlotte didn't stop."
I feel my whole body tense up and fight away the sickness in my stomach.
Dad rips the page from the newspaper and pins it to the wall, along with all the other news reports for the restaurant.
Without another word, he wonders off into the garage and I follow him quietly.
He's been in this garage way too long recently. He's up to something.
I quietly peek through the small crack in the door, noticing my dad fixing something?
No... is that...?
"I thought you stopped wanting to be a part of all of this dad. That's why you moved us away." I step into the room, scaring my father.
"Y/N I-"
"Save it. You lied to me. You've been working on this endoskeleton for days now. You said you were done with it all." I cross my arms over my chest.
My dad says nothing. But his expression says everything.
"Huh... that's what I thought." I turn away from him and walk to my room.
I admire the photo of our family on my nightstand once again, wishing that mum would be here right now.
But I do know what to do.
I refuse to stay here. Dad always warns me not to go outside. He says it's too dangerous. He says we will be the ones to blame for all that has happened. That's just an excuse to keep me from leaving.
So that's what I'll do.
I quickly take out a pen and paper and I begin writing a letter.
Father,
I know this will be hard for the both of us but by the time you are reading this, I will have already left. I'm not sure where I will go but I promise you I will be safe. I can't turn my back on all that has happened and I need to find out who I saw on the night of Charlotte's death.
Please, take care of yourself. I promise you will see me again.
Love Y/N
I place down the paper on the kitchen table, quickly running back to my room to pack.
I bring a fair amount of my clothes and valuables, as well as all my photos.
Once I finish, I grab my bags and begin my journey back to my old home. I catch a bus there because I would be walking for days on foot.
The journey is alright. Not much happens except for screaming children crying to their parents.
I hear one kid behind me talking to his mother.
"Mummy, can we go to that pizza place when we get there?" The kid says and I hear his mum huff.
"No sweetie, the place has closed down. Apparently it's because the animatronics had a malfunction and had to close." His mum replies.
Bullshit.
None of this is my dads fault. Or Michael's, or mine.
I suffer for another half an hour until the bus finally comes to a stop. People begin filing off the vehicle and parting ways.
"Where am I going?" I whisper to myself, my subconscious taking me somewhere.
Soon enough, I find myself at a very familiar doorstep. The same house I visited all those weeks ago.
I drop my bags, raising my fist to knock on the door. Once. Twice.
No one answers.
I know for a third time and the door flies open, revealing an angry William with his fists clenched.
"You. I thought I said I never wanted you near us ever again! Leave, now!" He raises his voice but I try my hardest to stand my ground.
"Mr Afton, I- Please, just hear me out!" I beg.
However, I am met with a harsh hit to the face which sends me to the floor. My head hits the hard concrete which sends my vision blurry.
I try to stand but I feel too dizzy.
"Dad, what's- Y/N? Y/N! Dad what did you do!" I hear the comforting voice of Michael and a pair of footsteps running towards me.
I can't see very well but I feel Michael pull me into his lap, his arm supporting my head from falling.
"Michael..."
"Y/N, you're bleeding!" He touches my head gently and I wince from the pain.
"Y/N needs to be taught a lesson Michael. I told them not to come back here and they did." William says.
I blink a few times and my vision begins to clear. However, I am still left with a severe pain in my head from hitting the ground too hard.
"Y/N can you hear me?" Michael asks softly and I nod, gripping his hand which is supporting me.
"You have to leave them now Michael. I don't want you near them anymore."
"No!" Michael shouts back, helping me stand up.
He wraps his arm around my waist for support. If we weren't in this current situation right now, I would surely be a blushing mess.
"I'm not leaving Y/N ever again. If thay means you kick me out then so be it." Michael stands up to his father.
He thinks silently for a moment and grumbles.
"Fine. Y/N can stay for a week. After that, I want them out of my house. You hear me?" William growls and I nod my head.
This will be a week from hell.
