Chapter 10
Never learn from mistakes
I can't believe he kept it. That suit has caused nothing but bad memories for all of us. It might not be the golden Freddy springlock suit which lead to Evan's death, but it's still a death trap.
"Y/N? Y/N... wake up."
I rub my eyes, looking up at Michael who is standing above me.
"What is it?" I yawn out, sitting up in bed. I look over at the clock on the wall, seeing that it is 2am.
"You have to come see this." Michael gestures for me to follow him.
He begins leading me towards a large white door at the end of the hallway. William's office.
"Michael, I don't think this is a good idea. Your dad will kill me."
Literally.
"He won't if he doesn't find out. Trust me. Now come on. You have to see this." Michael whispers, gripping my hand slightly. I don't know if he even realises that he grabbed my hand.
He places his free hand on the door, slowly opening it to reveal a dark office. It is quite neat to say the least. Well, except for all the blueprints on the table.
Wait.
Blueprints?!
"Michael what is this?" I feel my body go cold.
"I think my dad is planning on opening another restaurant. Here, look at this." Michael hands me one of the blueprints.
I scan over it the best I can in the dark.
"It's a new animatronic. Dad calls her Circus Baby. Creepy right?" Michael looks at me and I nod my head, placing the blueprint back onto the table in its correct position.
"Why would he open another restaurant? Does he not remember what happened last time?" I ask but more to myself.
"He doesn't care. Not anymore."
There was a total of 7 deaths in the first diner so what is driving William to create another.
"Come on. We have to leave before my dad wakes up." We quickly tiptoe out of the office.
Michael leads me across the hall to his bedroom so that we can discuss the whole situation.
"What are you two doing sneaking around so early?"
My head whips around to see William with his arms crossed. He flicks on the light and walks towards us.
Michael stands close to me in a protective manor.
"We just went to go grab a glass of water but I remembered I had some in my room so we came back." Michael lies to his father.
I never liked lies. Mum used to say bad things happened when you lie. But we have bigger problems to deal with right now.
"Oh. I see. Well... I guess we all better head back to bed then." William turns around.
But before I even get the chance to stop myself, I speak up.
"Why are you creating another restaurant?" Michael's eyes widen and he nudges me slightly to stop me.
"What did you say?" William stops walking and turns to face me with an angry expression.
"You heard me. Why are you creating another restaurant? Another Fredbears. You're creating another animatronic. Don't you remember what happened last time?" I push for answers.
"WHAT HAPPENED LAS TIME WAS YOUR FATHERS FAULT! Not mine..." William finally snaps, making me junk back.
Michael wraps his arms around me slightly, pulling me away from his father.
"Shit. Mr Afton I'm sorry..." I try to apologise but his eyes look up at me, staring through his eyebrows.
"Get out."
He almost looks animalistic. Psychotic.
"I-"
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!"
I jump back, quickly running down the stairs, scared of what might happen if I stay.
"No! Y/N wait! You can't run away! Not again. I need you!" Michael calls after me.
I stop for a moment, letting him catch up to me.
"I'm so sorry. I can't stay. We all know it's best for the both of us. Your father hates me for something I never did. Something my father didn't even do." I feel tears threatening to spill.
"Don't say that... you can't say that. Please Y/N... I l-"
"I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE!" The booming voice of William echoes through the cold night.
I look at Michael one last time with tears pouring down my cheeks now.
"I'm sorry."
With that, I take off into the night, not looking back. Not stopping. Not even taking my belongings with me.
I just run.
I ran so far that I don't even know my way back. I've never seen this side of town before and I've got no place to go.
I look around to see that I'm in a small park. I wrap my arms around myself to give me some warmth.
When I touch the material of my jumper, I remember where I got it from. This is the jumper that Michael gave me a few months ago.
I break down into a mess of sobbing and tears, finally curling up on a lonely park bench.
I'm scared for my life now. I have no money, no home and nowhere to go. Maybe I should have stayed with my dad.
I let the tears flow as my body gets weaker and weaker from the lack of sleep and tiredness.
I give in, finally falling asleep in the cold nights breeze, praying that this is just a dream and will all be over once the morning sun rises.
