Chapter Eleven: Searching

The room was tense for a few seconds before the small woman broke it with a squeal.
"That's so cool!!!" Gohan sweatdropped, and Bulma let out a sigh of relief.
"Crisis avoided, am I right?" Krillin whispered to her.
"Ahem, anyways back to the current situation, how do we want to split up?" O.A asked, turning all attention back to them.

Suki raised her hand.
"Arty and I will stay here and continue scouting the nearby area; just incase they escaped, or those assholes where dumb enough stay around here." she spoke, placing a hand on Arty's shoulder.
"Videl and I can go farther out of the city to the west to search for them." Gohan said, and Videl nodded.
"Krillin, how about you and O.A come with me and we'll go towards the east." Bulma nudged the small male with her elbow, and he nodded.

"Sounds good to me." O.A walked over to the pair and stood next to them, pulling out their phone.
"Haru and I will go north, and then loop back round to the south if need be," Aech said, clapping his hands together. Multiple dings sounded through the room, and everyone pulled out their phones.
"Who just messaged me?" Videl asked, holding out her purple phone.
"That was me!" O.A chuckled, raising their hand,"It's a group chat so if you find anything, all of us will know."

"Good idea. Everybody good to go?" Everyone nodded, and Bulma clapped her hands together, "Alright! Let's head out!"

~Mini Time Skip: Third Person Gohan's POV~

Dark eyes scanned the streets as they flew by, and Gohan frowned.
"See anything?" He turned to Videl, who was checking her phone, letting out a sigh.
"Nothing yet. Anybody else find anything?" She shook her head, turning to look at him.

"Nothing yet. Bulma took the 991 Jakks and hit the northeast side of Z City with Krillin and O.A but they didn't see anything. Haru and Aech haven't seen anything either. How far out could these guys have gone?" Gohan sighed, his gaze turning back to the streets below.
"I'm not sure. I haven't felt any strong Ki signatures like Trunks or Goten since we set out." Videl checked her phone again, "Hey, can we set down and grab a drink? Maybe we can sweep the streets while we're down, maybe find something?" Gohan nodded, noting that his mouth felt a little dry as well.

"Yeah, let's find a caffe or something." The pair slowly descended, before they tapped down onto the ground.
"I recognize this street; there's a little smoothie shop a few blocks that way." Videl pointed and sped up her pace. Gohan let his eyes wander over passerby's faces, reaching out for any familiar Ki's.

Sensing none, he sighed, thinking back to the other person that had been taken. (Y/n) (L/n). He remembered seeing them fight in the tournament; first against his little brother and his friend, and then against his father. He remembered watching them fight, surprised at how long they had held out against his father. Even more so when they had landed a hit on the Saiyan, giving him a nose bleed.

He remembered their eyes, burning with excitement as they fought, a grin pulling at their lips. He wasn't too surprised when his father finally won, but he was impressed. Impressed at how effortlessly they had faced his father. Impressed at how easily fighting came to them, and how, even after losing the fight, they never seemed to be upset. He was shaken out of his thoughts by a hand on his shoulder, and turned to see Videl's blue eyes staring at him in concern.

"Are you alright Gohan? You zoned out pretty hard there."
"Ah, yeah I'm fine. Just... thinking. What's up?" She chuckled, turning to the building they had stopped in front of. "We're here." He turned his gaze upwards to stare at the sign. Crush Caf.
