~(Y/n)'s POV~
You'd spent the day getting closer to the large Saiyan. Over the course of big lunch and quite a few shopping bags, you felt like you understood Nappa a little better. Maybe not on like, a heart to heart level, but enough for basic understandings. Thankfully, a couple stores had clothing in his size, and only half of them looked like his muscles were trying to escape, which was a plus in your book. That was about three days ago.
Nappa was settling in pretty well, and he'd even started to join you on your training sessions at the gym. Speaking of training, you'd finally managed to complete King Kai's. Or, at least, the first half of it. After catching Bubbles, your small victory had been slightly crushed when you were informed you now had to 'tag' Gregory, by hitting him with a mallet. The mallet was unbelievably heavy, and you spent at least another two days trying to simply carry the damn thing without falling over.
You were still trying to catch the bug spirit, but you were getting closer. Maybe the next session you had, you'd actually catch that quip cracking dweeb. But, for now, you were on a jog through the woods outside of West City. It was mostly trees and lakes, with the occasional wildlife running away as you passed them. It was a nice day out as well, a light breeze and warm sun to make it not unbearable, much unlike the last time you did, when it was sweltering out.
Slowing to a stop, you glanced out over the small ledge you found yourself on. A small valley was spread out in front of you, and if you squinted far enough, you could see different animals moving around. It was peaceful, a vast change from the bustling of the cities you normally found yourself in. A small herd of odd, large featherless chicken-things stopped close to you, and one turned to look at you. Not wanting to seem chicken, you stared back with wide eyes, waiting to see who would break first.
The loud ring of your phone echoed through the trees, startling the weird looking bird to run off farther into the valley.
"Ha! Victory!" You cheered, straightening up and pulling out your phone.
"Hello~?" You hummed, turning on your heel away from the valley to continue on your walk.
"---(Y/n)! Are you terribly busy right now?---" You raised a brow."Not even a hello? Wow Krillin, I'm so loved," you huffed, rolling your eyes. There wasn't any real heat to your words, but you did wonder why he was calling you. Krillin was a nice guy, but you hadn't actually gotten the time to really hang out with him.
"---Yes. Hi. Hello. Are you busy?---" he sounded rushed, and a little out of breath. You sighed, running a hand through your hair and leaning against a nearby tree while you talked to him."No, I'm not busy. I'm out on a jog right now though. Why, what's up?" The faint sound of, what sounded like an explosion caught your attention, and you turned in time to see a cloud of dust waft up through the trees, birds quickly flying away from whatever it was.
"---Piccolo's in a bind right now. He was training Goten, and something popped up. I had the kid on the line, but we got disconnected.---" You frowned, eyes still focused on the flock of birds as they flew over your head.
"---Goku and Vegeta are stuck training, so Kami knows they won't be able to stop and help,---"You couldn't help but chuckle a little. Honestly, that sounded like them, but the situation with Goten was still a little concerning. You knew the boy well enough by now that he wouldn't be in too much trouble in a fight, but, he was still a kid.
"How long ago was that call? And where's he even at?" You questioned Krillin, nibbling on your fingernail.
"---It was about 10 minutes ago. I tried to get ahold of anyone else, but everyone is too busy to answer.---" Krillin explained. You nodded, pushing off your resting tree.
"Where are they at though? I can't help if I don't know where they are." There was the sound of paper rustling in the other end before the man answered.
"---Piccolo was training him out in the forrests outside of West City, though they might've moved by now.---" Another loud explosion came from the same spot as before, and this time, a rush of air pushed your hair back.
