chapter 10- dinner in Afton Hotel

I laugh at him. No matter how I feel, he's always there for me. I didn't know how to pay the price for him.

"ah, tell me oh kind sir, how do I ever repay you for your heroic actions?" I get up and blink fast, showing off my eyelashes.

He stood there. He looked at me. He looked away and got red.

"well..?"

He walked up to me and held me hands.

"Your welcome to repay me with your love M'lady" He looks into my eyes. 

I get red and start heating up. Repay with what?!..do I like him..? I decided to do the same to him. Make him get these butterflies as well.

"As you wish kind sir" I peck his cheek and take a step back. 

"Now if you don't mind, I better go eat. Im simply famished" I put my hand on my forehead like a damsel in distress. I walk away and leave Micheal there. I blush a deep red at what I just did.

Micheal POV:

"wh-.." 

What just happened? Did she just kiss me ? On my cheek?..

I put my hand where she had kissed me. Did she actually do that or was I dreaming?..

I look out the window and get very red. I had always wondered if Y/n liked me. I would do anything for her.

I follow her into the kitchen and she's already seated. She looks at me and then looks away, a slight tint on her cheeks. I sit next to her and I held her hand. 

She raises my eyebrows at me.

"What? You said you would repay me." I smirk and stick my tongue out

She rolls her eyes at me playfully. If only I could be with her all the time.

He holds my hands. His hands were so soft and warm. Every time I held them I would get a sense of peacefulness..but those bandages were always in the way. I tighten my grip on his hands. I will make sure they never get hurt.ever.

He squeezes his hand back and smiles. Clara brings in the food, and the rest of the family joins in. 

They sit down and Clara starts handing out the food to each of us. She sits down and picks up her knife and fork. 

I go to do the same but my hand was still with Micheals. I go to release it from his grip but he tightens it. I shot him a look. He smirks and eats with his other hand while looking at me. I scoff. I couldn't say anything since his family was right there. So I left it.

I ate with my other hand. It wasn't too hard but I found it annoying that he didn't let me use my other..yet I found it cute as well..

The Aftons eat and William starts talking.

"So, Elizabeth how was your day with Evan?" he asks

"Oh it was great daddy! Me and Evan played princess and the knight! It was soo fun!!" She exclaimed with a bright smile

"Thats good!" Says Clara with a smile

"mhm! I wanna play with Y/n later! She's a real princess so we can't keep her bored" She says with a serious face

Micheal rolls his eyes at her.

"Eli, she'll probably get bored with you. Besides she doesn't find spending time with me boring' he looks at me and wriggles his eyebrows and smirks. 

Remembering what happened just before, I was at loss for words.

"Oh be quiet Micheal! You're sooo boringgg. Every time I play with you all you say is the end every time I say something!" She says with an angry expression

Evan sat there saying nothing. He eats so neatly, and didn't stare or do weird things that kids his age do.

"Miss Y/n.."

"Yes Evan?" I say with a smile.

He looks at me and sends me a cute grin. 

"Can we play together?"

"Oh, Of course we can!" I nod to him

His face lights up and goes back to eating. Micheal and Elizabeth turn quiet. Micheals hand grips tighter on my own. I forgot we were even holding hands. Elizabeth looks at me, and eats her food.

"Thats very nice of you Y/n, you don't need too if you don't want to" Says Clara with an understanding nod.

"oh I don't mind! Besides he asked very nicely" I smirk at Micheal. He scoffs and eats his food.

"Y/n..what about me" 

I turn and see Elizabeth giving me puppy eyes.

"I'll play with you to Eli" 

Her eyes widen and she sends me a toothy smile. She goes back to her eating her food, her green eyes darting at me then her plate. I look at Micheal. He looks at me. 

I go back to my food. It went very quiet..

William inhales and starts talking about work with Clara. The dining table gets less quiet and less awkward. Evan and Elizabeth start chatting about homework or fairies or something like that. 

Micheal looks at me with those blue eyes and says "Could you play with me then?" 

I turn to him slowly with wide eyes. I felt myself rise in heat. My face turns a bright crimson. 

"..What do you mean by that Micheal.."

His face turns red. 

"OH- I didn't mean it- like-that. " He stammers and looks at his food. His hand felt warmer than usual. I laugh. That moment was very intense but quite funny.

He turns to me and sends another smirk. Sipping my water, I thought to myself , Oh, what is he gonna say this time.

"well .. what if I meant it that  way princess?"
