The one for me ? (Michael Afton x reader)

I stared at the ceiling. All I saw was nothing but just a blank canvas. I mean.. did Michael really mean that? A million thoughts rushed through my head. It was confusing.

I huff as I kept thinking.

Michaels afraid?

Afraid of losing me?

He's scared that Mason might take me away from him..?

This was all too complicated. I mean I saw the look on his face. He truly looked scared. I'll admit it.. it was kinda cute.

I turn to lay on my side, facing my window. I left a small part of my curtains open. The moonlight was soothing. It lit up the room with a blue-white haze. It was a great night, but not so great feelings.

I mean- i'm happy that Masons back. I really am but it was weird. The way I felt so attached to him when I saw Mason after what felt like years. As if I still have a crush on him. It sure was strange.

Now that I think about it.. it was almost..cringe that I suddenly felt "love" when I saw Mason. I scrunch up my nose at the thought of it. When I first knew Mason he seemed like the only guy to ever know me.. but times changed I guess.

I sigh and turn away from the moonlight. I stare at the other side of my room. It was darker but it was much easier to fall asleep to. I closed my eyes and ignored my thoughts.

"That's for another time"

-TIME SKIP TO SCHOOL-

"Hey Kasy!" I smile as I sit down next to her. Kasy smiled back.

"Hi Y/n, have you heard about the new guy?" Kasy giggles to herself before she stops after she hears me talking.

"Wait so- he was your boyfriend from your old school?" Kasy raised her eyebrows.

"No- no no- not boyfriend" I laugh.

"Really? Sure seems like it"

I turn to see Michael sitting next to me. He was reading the novel he took from me yesterday.

"Not a bad book" Michael shut it and passed it to me.

"Thank you- but you know he isn't my boyfriend! I'm saving my love for the true one" I sigh dramatically and put the book away. Michael raised his eyebrows.

"Can't wait for you to finally express your love then" Michael answers.

"What makes you think that your the one?" I laugh

"I mean you've already expressed it" Michael winks.

...

"WHAT"

I heard Kasy yell. Crap.. forgot she was there..

"Y/N??" I turn to face Kasy. Her eyes were wide and her mouth was open in shock.

"NONONO- HE DOESNT MEAN IT LIKE THAT"  I yelled hysterically. I felt like crying or screaming or grabbing Michael by the face and just-

No not kissing.

"That's exactly what I meant princess" Michael clicks his tongue and gazes into the courtyard. I looked at him with disbelief.

"IM- im gonna pretend like nothing ever happened" Kasy cleared her throat and she got her phone out. I groan in embarrassment.

"Are you kidding me Michael- you wish we did something" I squinted at him

"How much longer until it's more than a wish?" Michael rests his head on the bench, looking sideways at me. He smiled when he saw my reaction.
