The one for me ? (Michael Afton x reader)

I hauled my bag on my back. Holy crap this thing is getting heavier and heavier. Everytime I walk into the school gates I feel the life inside of me get sucked out.

"Here we go" I whispered to myself and braced for the piercing stares from yesterday. I walked through and kept my eyes on the ground.

I heard a couple whispers but I drowned them out. Forget whatever people think. I'm innocent and my hands are clean.

I took my bag off and sat down on the bench. I pulled my sleeves down.

I wonder where Kasy was.

Shoot, speaking of Kasy I haven't even checked her messages from yesterday.

Yesterday..

I put my hands on my face to hide the flushed expression on my face. I had a great time yesterday, I think that was very obvious.

I looked around for any teachers. It was pretty clear so I pulled my phone out.

"Let's see..." I sighed and opened my messages. I see around 9 messages from Kasy. I tapped on her contacts and-

"Y/N- where are you? you just disappeared into thin air. Cmon bae"

I scrolled and gasped.

"OKAY Y/N IDFK WHERE UR AT BUT MARK JUST ASKED ME TO PROM?"

"IM LITERALLY FREAKING OUT AND UR NOT EVEN ANSWERING ME"

Prom? I completely forgot about that.

"OMG WAIT- WE HAVE TO GO PROM SHOPPING WITH EACH OTHER AHA"

"I HEARD FROM MARK THAT MICHAEL MIGHT-"

Nope. I got out of her contacts and instead clicked on Rosalines' instead. If Michael was planning a surprise then I didn't really want to ruin it.

"Hey Y/n. Long time no see! Hru doing? Hope you're well!! I have great news! Andrew was caught near this super rich school and apparently he attacked students there 😨.. Oh and! There was SECURITY FOOTAGE- HE GOT TAKEN INTO QUESTIONING AND NOW HES IN COURT THIS BOZO 💀💀"

"I really hope it wasn't you who got attacked. Although they said it was a couple that got attacked.. mmm idk. Tbh I would think u and Mason were still a thing. Idk not sure 😈.."

"Okay ttyl, take care ❤️"

I had to reread the first couple of sentences just to make sure that my eyes weren't playing tricks or anything. He's actually.. gone?

Well maybe not exactly gone but he's on his way! I felt myself exhale a breath I didn't realise I had held in for long. No, I felt that breath exhale all my worry about him.

"You seem happy Y/n" Kasy sat down next to me, smiling.

"You have no idea. AND KASY?? Congrats" I nudged her with my elbow. Kasy giggled. "Ah thank youuu. It totally caught me off guard"

"Off guard? At that point, it was expected. That chemistry between you two is undeniable" I smirked.

"Uh huhhh- as if you and Michael aren't something. When is he gonna confessssss" She groaned.  "All this pointless bonding and yet no one has said anything"

I laughed at her comment. "Kasy-" I chuckled. "Kasy he has-"

".. WHAT" She gasped and quickly and put a hand to her mouth. "NUH UHH YOU'RE JOKING"

"AHAHA- NO I'M NOT" I yelled back.

"He actually did confess and well you know- I guess you could say we're a couple now" I shrugged. She gave me a smile and crossed her arms. "Now that was expected"
