THE IDEAL ASPECT OF BEING ONE OF CHIEF SWAN'S CHILDREN COME IS A RESPONSIBILITY; THE WHOLE police station stood on the idealism that Charlie Swan's fellow police officers were like his brother's, sister's or uncle's the older they get, they landed the title of a father or a mother. The criminals were just the tight knit jacked up cousins who come late to a barbecue. The Swan residence was void of actual human activity. Besides the actual TV running, Stefan was flat on his back with a pillow draped over his face. Charlie had left to return to work awhile ago, using his lunch hour plus an additional thirty minutes to get his son from the airport back to his house.
A loud chime echoed throughout the house, his eyes squinted in the aching pain in his temple as he shot up getting dizzy as he tried to settle. He sighed rubbing his fingers over his temples, and his eyes blinked open adjusting to the time. He sat up getting on his shoes grumbling about his thirty minute nap. His eyes lifted to the sight in front of him, the kitchen was small with its yellow cabinets tucked along the dark paneled walls and white linoleum floors. Paired with a old square oak table with a dissolved mismatch chairs to follow. Stefan knew his father didn't change much as small photos aligned the fireplace of the family; Charlie and Renée wedding photo to the one of the Bella and Stefan together.
The man got a hold of the keys to his sister's truck, he glanced out the window at the old janky truck with detest. He stepped outside unlocking it and got a hold of the stick shift after letting the ignition roar to life. He let it sit for roughly five minutes before backing up and peeling off down the road towards Forks, Highschool. A circle of dread started to fill his heart, his eyes skimming over the familiar roads and he gulped down a breath. He drove down Fort Ave. turning onto the stretch of highway taking the first exit to the left. Forks Highschool sat on the far west corner of the road over a dead end street with the wide parking lot. He saw the familiar red building and he froze coming to a stop in the back of the parking lot.
He could smell it, taste it off the tip of his tongue. The lavender peachy scent, the smell that radiated from her locks of luscious strawberry blonde hair. Her glossed lips that always pulled into a smile, he closed his eyes back into the seat of his memory. The old voices chimed in the back of his mind, laughter filled the breeze like a bell. "Oi Swan, ready for the football game tonight" James Dawson piped up, leaning against the railing near the steps.
He remembered the look of James face, the sheer look of victory. The young Stefan was in for a shitload that night, he sported his usual charming smirk. "Get ready to kick the Rez kids ass at the game" he encouraged, the boys from the Rez caused quite the trouble on the field. La Push High School mainly people off the Rez sent there. Stefan's green eyes widened taking in a familiar scent before arms engulfed his back wrapping around his neck, "guess who?" The bell chimed.
