IF DEATH WAS LIKE A FLICK OF A NICKEL Stefan Geoffrey Swan would flick it a thousand times over. However rusty or however shiny, there were always two sides of a coin. One could symbolize the idea of birth and the other could be the idea of death. Death was the grand sin of all, it followed man from the first cry of their tongues, to the last breath of their lungs. Because of man, sin entered the world through death. The curve of his jaw tense, an inaudible swallow of air parted his lips. His eyelids fluttered, peeling open revealing the depths of his green gaze. His lips pressed together, his hand lifting brazenly over his stubble. It had been a few days since Josephine's death and word was spreading through Forks, Washington quicker than he had expected. The man had expected his door to be rampaged on by the very same family his daughter was born from. Although word from Damon's mouth, it's been silent and he was thankful. Stefan perched himself up from his bed, the silk sheets under his fingers crumbled from his grasp. The bedroom was naturally Rosalie's room, they had been staying at the Cullen residence for Cora's care.
The morning breeze was brisk, drifting in through the open window lifting the white silk curtains with low illumiating light from the sun setting in. The warmth from the light spread across his exposed torso chest, a low glimmer reflected off his skin for a second before fading away. He pulled the comforter back a bit, moving his legs over the side of the bed. His hands ran down his face pinching the bridge of his nose when a presence coming up the stairs entered the room. He smelled her floral scent instantaneously, the scent of vanilla and a hint of rose waffed under his nose as he inhaled softly. He leaned back feeling her hands against the sculping of his muscles, tracing over his back and over his shoulders in silence. He felt the cool touch of her lips against his neck leaving delicate kisses across his skin, her lips brushing against his ear "Hello Mr Swan" Her voice chimed, there was a gentle gleam in her honey gold eyes as he angled his head to meet her gaze.
"Miss Hale how can I help you this beautiful morning" His voice clipped as he spoke, his eyes ravishing the very sight of her. Her hair fell in a cascade of wavy blonde curls, her make-up just done perfectly with a light blemish and glossed lips. Her eyes shadowed by a rich shade of pastel brown and gold, her eyelashes curled and darkened with mascara. His eyes locked on her curved figure, hugged by the dark velvet red floral dress. The dress was neck-high, it tyed in the back of her neck but had an open slit over her chest giving a fair look at her breast, just a little bit. The dress has armlength sleeves that were flowy until around the wrist where she clasped the button. "Do you think this is appropiate to meet your mom?" Her question bounced off her tongue as Stefan gazed at her with a raised brow.
Stefan had clearly forgotten his mother was visiting Forks to meet Cora. That phone call was lengthy and endevaoring long with Renee being a little upset knowing last about her new granddaughter. "My mom, right of course. Renee isn't the type to focus on what you wear, more the fact she'll be distracted by Cora" Stefan told Rosalie in all his honesty as he grabbed her hand, his thumb massaging over the palm of her hand. "She'll want a tour of my house, I am sure it's a mess with Damon and Grayson, I should head there and make sure it's cleaned up" He chuckled softly not that he didn't trust his friend, because if there were anything about Renee Dwyer; it was that she's a clean freak. "Speaking of Damon, how'd it go convincing him about Cora's existence?" Rosalie asked sitting down next to him on the edge of the bed. A thoughtful expression lingered on his face, "It wasn't very hard actually, only thing is I wonder how long this actually lasts for" He told her.
