chapter 25- his fluffy hair

"I also uh..didn't know that you would hear me say what I said-" he stuttered and looked away. I saw his side profile and that feeling came back in my stomach. I shook my head and smiled. This guy I swear.

I was going to say something but the sky begun to rumble. I look up and a raindrop lands on my forehead. I turn and Kasys hands were extended. Mark looked up. It started to rain.

"We better head back quickly!" I yelled and grabbed Michaels arm. I started running, the rain became rough. We crossed the road and the water saturated my hair. 

"We're nearly there quick quick!" Kasy yelled from behind and we kept running. The mall was near, its huge structure made it obvious. We make it and we start panting. 

"Oh- oh god." I say, breathless from the running. I heard Kasy cough. Michael was next to me, he was wet. Mark was drenched as well.

"..is- is everyone alright?" Mark asked looking at all of us. We nodded and decided to get something warm from the food court. We walk inside, what we didn't realise is that it got very crowded.

"Why is it so crowded?" I groaned, trying to get through the people to the nearest cafe. Michael followed behind. 

"I think it's because it's raining. A lot of people were outside when we left" Kasy said. I looked around and spotted a cafe. 

"There! Cmon!" I pointed and pushed through the crowds. I peaked through and saw the cafe. It didn't look too full. Michael, Kasy and Mark all quickly follow and we walk inside the cafe.

The smell of coffee was a comfort. I was shivering, it was really cold in the cafe..the air conditioner was on. I felt a warm body next to me suddenly. It was Michael, he wrapped an arm around me and he pulled me in close. 

We stood in the line. Kasy was behind us and I exhaled. I looked up at Michael and noticed he was really tense. I wonder why.. Soon it was our turn. I quickly ordered for everyone and Michael followed me. He kept a very close distance to me, as if guarding me from something. "What on earth?" I thought but quickly stopped since I heard our names being called and I hurried to the counter to get our drinks. 

"Here you go Mike." I handed him his drink. He took it and squinted at someone. I turned to where he was looking. Some guy in a hood was looking through a magazine. He looked suspicious but I didn't think much of it. Michael kept staring with an angry expression.

"Michael-.. what's wrong" I muttered turning to him. He looked so stiff. He turned to me and sent a smile. 

"Nothing Princess" He put an arm on my shoulder and took a sip of his drink. As he was taking a sip, his eyes widened and he took the cup of his lips. His lip looked red and puffy.

"OH- Too hot?" I tried to contain my laughter. I held myself steady on his arm. He nodded and his eyes teared up from the sudden pain. He sniffed and chuckled. I joined in and made sure to be careful with my drink. 

Kasy and Mark were laughing about something. I elbowed Michael but his attention wasn't on them. It was back on that guy. Michael suddenly put his arm around me and pulled me close. The guy in hood got up and walked over. I turned to his direction.

Michael had an angry expression. His breathing was quick.

"heya little lady" The guy in the hood said. 

"uh..hello..?" I replied.

"..you know a pretty lady like you should go with me" He smirked.

"...no thank you." I said sternly.

"come with me." He said with a growl.

"What? No!" I yelled back. I heard Michaels grip tighten on my arm.
