"Want to hear it again?" Michaels eyes had rage in them. His usually calm blue eyes were raging blue seas.
"..hey man- n-no problems eh?" The guy backed away from Michaels presence.
"Yea. No problems." Michael squinted and the guy walked away.
"..what the hell.." I said exhaling a breath which I didn't know I was holding in. Michael held his arm tighter around me. Kasy and Mark had stopped talking and they looked at the direction of the man. He was out of the cafe anyways. Kasy looked like she was about to crack.
"uh..it-it's okay" I replied to her angered state.
"Yes. Very okay." She breathed and Mark put his hand on her shoulder. She exhaled and turned to me.
"Good thing Michael was here..I would have thrown hands." She scoffed. I smile weakly. What just happened.. I look at my phone and it was about 8:45. I should head home..
"..I think that was enough for today?" I looked up and I saw Michaels face. He looked a bit stressed from what happened. I smiled and nodded. We walked out of the cafe, it was less crowded. We crossed the carpark to his car. We sit inside and Michael starts the car. We sat in silence.
He takes Kasy home, then Mark. It was me last.
"...you okay princess?" Michael asks, I turn and I see his side profile again. Dammit.
"I'm..
I'm..
...
I don't know." I answered. I really didn't know. I mean I nearly got hurt from that guy..and it was already traumatising. Something kept bothering me..Michaels was so..angered during that moment. I was weird seeing him so mad.
"..I'm sorry you had to go through that Y/n." He sighed and turned to my street. I nodded and he stopped the car so I could get out. I looked at my neighbourhood. It was dark..and due to the recent events..I didn't feel so safe.
"I'll come with you it's fine" Michael puts his hand on my shoulder and smiles. I feel more relaxed. I nodded and I got out of the car. Michael walks me to my door. His car was close so it was fine. I stopped outside my door. I knew I needed to say something. I turned to him.
"Michael..thank you" I smiled
"Anything for you princess" He replied.
I took his hands and held them.
"How can I repay you?..I mean you just sorta saved my life" I sent him a weak smile. His hands were warm and comforting.
"You already know the answer to that" He smirked.
"Ah. Alright" I lean in. I wanted to kiss him on the cheek like I did at his house but I stumbled and kissed his upper lip by accident. I pulled back with an embarrassed face. I look at Michaels face. His cheeks were red, his eyes were wide and his mouth was slightly open. I felt like screaming or crying or ..
..
or something else.
His face was so shocked that it made me smile. I put my hand on his fluffy head. I twirled my hand through his hair. I exhale a deep breath and take my hand off. I go to knock on the door but Michael grabs my hand. He turns me back to his face.
"..what?" I ask. He takes my hand and puts it back on his head. I'm slightly shocked at his sudden gesture. I played with his hair for a second and patted his head.
"Alright- I should go now Michael-" I went to my door and heard Michael sigh.
"I'll see you tomorrow though " I tilted my head. Michael nodded and smiled.
"..Yea. Alright..good night princess" He looks at me for a second and walks away. He gets in his car and waves. I wave back and exhale. I suddenly missed him. I just saw him though?
"am I..catching-"
I stopped myself and shook my head. I knocked on the door and my mother let me in. I felt suddenly...cold?
"So! Did you have fun?" My mother asks and and she takes a look at me. I wasn't wet anymore but I did look a bit scruffy.
"Yep. I'm kinda tired though." I sent a weak smile. My mother nodded.
"Understandable Y/n, go take a shower if you want" My mother smiled and left me to go shower. I inhale and exhale. What is up with me?
I go into the shower and starting to open the water. I made sure to make the water hot. Not boiling but hot enough for me to feel that warm burn. It sorta made up for that cold feeling.
I wore some warm Pjs. Maybe I should sleep. I said goodnight to my mother and flopped on my bed. I sighed. Something was wrong with me. I closed my eyes and just saw him.
"EGHREGH- Y/n. Just- just go to bed" I inhaled and closed my eyes, fustrated.
The rest of the night was a struggle. That weird empty filling just engulfed me.
"Dammit Michael."
