Returning to the Resistance (Various! x OC/Reader)

Gwen, Zero, Eclipse are running or roller skating as fast as they could, their breathes hard like they're about to pass out at any minute. Kirby was gripping onto Gwen's shoulder rather tight, looking back and forth in terror. The Dark Arms are holding onto Eclipse's back like he's carrying a backpack. They look just as terrified as Kirby.

The trio are running away from the Mobians as they're all covered in metals. They're Zombie Robots or Zombots, for short. Zombots are made up entirely of an unknown metallic compound that completely rewrites the victim's genetic coding, transforming them on a molecular level. Their bodies are given a metallic sheen while retaining shades of their original colors; they are quite malleable, able to deform from sufficiently strong blunt impacts. They also possess dark red eyes with small, bright red pupils, but otherwise retain the general shape of their organic selves. Some Zombots may develop minor additional features, such as sharp claws, spikes, fangs, and more angular body markings.

"How did this happen?! This isn't possible!!" Gwen exclaimed in horror, dodging their claws.

"It's like... zombie apocalypse!! Or Walking Dead for that matter!!" Eclipse wheezed out, looking tired from all the running.

Yeah, Gwen had gotten him to watch some movies and shows, including horror ones.

"Whatever it is, Eggman has gone completely too far for this!!" Zero shouted, kicking off the Zombots.

Kirby whimpered, wanting this nightmare to be over. Gwen did her best to comfort him while looking at the infected people with sympathy.

"What can we do...?"

Zombots begins to surround them in a circle, getting them cornered as the trio look around for the way out. The Zombots reaches out their claws to touch them, ready to make them become like the rest. Gwen prays for the miracle to stop all of this. On cue, her ruby necklace begins to glow bright and then flashes before them, blinding everyone.
