Returning to the Resistance (Various! x OC/Reader)

Lightning struck once again as the Angel Island begins to fall as soon as Metal Overlord had taken the power of the Master Emerald. Blaze flew above by rocketing her shoes with her own fire as she looked down at the falling island with confusion.

"Why is the island falling? Did destroying the wings do this...?"

"Blaze!!"

Tangle's tail swung over to her as Blaze looked over to see Tangle holding onto her tail like a rope as Amy was holding her arm while holding herself by the wall to make sure she doesn't fall.

"Grab on!" Tangle urged.

Blaze grabbed a hold of her tail as Tangle pulled her back to them.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know completing my mission would cause this!" Blaze apologized.

"No! If the island is falling, it means something happened to the Master Emerald!" Amy said in worry.

Back to the shrine, Sonic and others are dodging giant flying green shards Master Overlord is throwing at them while Gwen dodged Master Overlord's every attempt to grab her with his claws.

"On the plus side -- he's not in 'super' state anymore!" Sonic said.

"You call that a plus side?! This is a super upgrade he's in!!" Zero exclaimed.

Knuckles called out from the com attached to his dreadlock.

"Amy! Do you read me? Neo took the Master Emerald and transformed! Please tell me Burning Blaze is still around for heavy support!"

Amy answered back from the com.

"Things have gotten much worse. Is there any chance you can transform again?" she asked Blaze.

"I'm sorry, but I cannot. The Sol Emeralds' power is diminished for now." Blaze said solemnly.

"That's a 'no' on Burning Blaze!" Knuckles shouted before he and Sonic dodged another falling giant shard.

"And we don't have the Chaos Emeralds, so no 'Super Sonic' and no 'Super Gwen' for us, either..." Sonic said.

"I will not lose to that thing!" Shadow clenched his fist.

"Shadow, don't! We need a plan!" Gwen ordered him.

"Okay, okay..." Sonic started before getting an idea. "Got it! I have a plan!"

"You better make it quick!" Eclipse urged.

Master Overlord narrowed his eyes at the heroes and begins to reach over to them as they tried to run away.

"I will realize Dr. Eggman's dream of a Global Empire! And nothing you can do can stop me!"

He then grabbed them all in one clawed hand and began to fly over to the ship where the Resistance are inside.

"Come! Let us join the rest of your feeble 'Resistance!' You will watch as I destroy them! Witness Angel Island dashed to pieces! Then I will show you the mercy of a swift demise and turn Gwen as my true sister!!"

Sonic and the others are calm in Master Overlord's grasp and a bit uncomfortable due to his sharp claws nearly cutting them.

"Is this part of your plan?" Knuckles questioned.

"It is now!" Sonic grinned.

"This better be worth it." Eclipse said, holding the Dark Arms close to him. "I don't want to risk Dark Arms' lives."

"Relax." Sonic said and began to explain his plan. "All we need to do is rip the Master Emerald out of his chest. Take away his power source, and we save Angel Island. And 'master over-blown' here is taking us right to the calvary!"
