After delving into world history, Accelerator's curiosity shifted towards the realm of technology, where he was pleasantly surprised by the advancements he discovered. It was almost as if  Academy City had a change of heart and stopped being self-centered assholes with steel spears shoved way up their asses and decided to share their blessings with the world.

Two corporations, Deus Ex Machina Industries from England and Asgard Electronics from the United States of America, emerged as significant players in this technological landscape, capable of rivaling Academy City's prowess. Accelerator couldn't help but entertain the thought of a three-way war between these entities to determine the ultimate victor. However, most of the details regarding these corporations and their methods remained classified, leaving him with limited access to further information.

"Fucking hell, have I stumbled upon a parallel universe? Did my own universe decide it couldn't handle me anymore and decided to send me off to another dimension, saying, 'Fuck this, he's your problem now'?" Accelerator chuckled, using humor as a coping mechanism to deal with the fact that he had left his old life and ones he cared for behind.

The next objective on his research agenda was to confirm whether he had indeed been transported to another universe or dimension. He embarked on an online search to explore the concept of parallel universes, drawing from both the existing knowledge of this world and his own experiences. Disappointingly, the results mirrored those from his own world—controversial and debatable. The only certainty was that parallel universes likely operated under different laws than those of traditional science.

Armed with the information he had gathered, Accelerator found himself more informed yet burdened with additional questions. He had to come to terms with the reality that whether this situation was real or not, it had undeniably happened. His original plan to reach Academy City seemed uncertain, at least for now. Regardless of whether it was possible to return or not, he realized that he would be in this world for an extended period.

Suppressing the urge to scream in frustration within the confines of the café, Accelerator moved on to his final objective. He found himself broke and homeless, uncertain of where to go next. Utilizing the remaining time allotted for his computer usage, he exhaustively searched online for guidance on his next steps and how to navigate his circumstances until the sun began to set.

As the time ticked away, Accelerator absorbed the information, planning his next move in this strange predicament.

—WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO—

A piercing sound echoed through the city, signaling the imminent arrival of disaster. The siren blared, alarming those in the vicinity and eliciting various responses from the people around.

"Why now, of all times?"

"Ughhhh."

"Spacequake warning!"

"Shit, here we go again. Why now!?"

"SPACEQUAKEEEEE!"

"Fuck fuck fuck, not again."

"Oh well, back to the shelter."

Observing the reactions of the other customers, Accelerator couldn't help but notice their accustomed response towards these abrupt disruptions. Despite the palpable tension and anxiety lingering in the air, the customers remained surprisingly composed. None of them succumbed to panic or chaos, suggesting that they had become desensitized to such occurrences. This presented yet another opportunity for Accelerator to witness the destructive force of a spacequake firsthand. Although he possessed the power to effortlessly fly away to safety, if need be, he doubted that would be necessary.
