As they came to a stop at the dock, Jungkook worked quick securing their mooring Tae moving to help him.

When Jimin tried to help again they waved him off, so he took Bam and sat in the wheelhouse, watching them work.

It wasn't long before they were donning shoes and jackets, prepared to disembark.

Jimin was eager to get off the boat but less so when he saw how cautious the alphas were.

"Are you sure it's safe?" he asked them.

"Kai wouldn't have sent us here if it was dangerous," Jungkook promised.

"But we should be careful all the same."

"I want you to stay behind me every step of the way."

"Tae is going to be behind you."

"He's got our backs okay?"

"Okay," Jimin agreed giving Tae a quick smile.

Jungkook climbed off the boat and onto the dock and Jimin followed a moment later, setting Bam down.

The puppy whined and stuck close, his tail wagging cautiously.

Jimin wasn't the only one happy to be back on land again.

Tae got off behind him and then they were walking, single file, down the dock and up the winding path that led to the house on the cliffs.

"It looks empty," Tae commented as they walked.

Jimin thought he was right There was no sign of movement from behind the windows, no smoke and no noise except the crashing of the waves.

If someone was there, they were being very quiet about it.

"Let's just make sure before we let our guard down," jungkook insisted.

As they reached the front door they found an envelope pinned to it. Jungkook took it down opened it and read the letter contained within.

"What does it say?" Tae asked his hand on Jimin's shoulder.

"Make yourselves at home,"

Jungkook said holding it up so they could read it.

"It's dated yesterday so I'm guessing who ever was here wrote it as they were leaving."

Jungkook turned back toward the door where a keypad sat to one side, a green light blinking innocently.

He stepped forward confidently.

"Let's hope Kai got the code right or we'll be camping down on the boat for the foreseeable."

As he punched the number in, the three of them held their breaths.

The door clicked open quietly, Jungkook grabbing the handle and pushing it slowly inward, putting his body at the threshold, blocking Jimin's view of the inside.

"All clear," the alpha called after a moment, stepping inward.

They followed him, the three of them and Bam sticking close.

"We'll go room by room," kook said, Tae shutting the door behind them and calling out an acknowledgment.

Lights came on in the hallway as they walked along it, stopping to check each room as they passed.

It wasn't curiosity, Jimin realized, so much as caution.

They wanted to make absolutely sure they really were alone.

He caught a glimpse of a living room with a wall made of glass that looked out onto the sea, a shiny kitchen with beautiful skylights and a room with a bed that looked like it might fit a whole family.
