JIMIN POV

Everything happened so quickly from Jimin's perspective at least.

The nurse rushed in and took away his breakfast before he'd even eaten a bite and without explaining why.

A few minutes later, the Doctor came to see him. Jimin liked the Doctor a lot.

Some of the other staff talked about him to Tae and Jungkook rather than to him.

And when they did talk to Jimin, they spoke to him like he was a child.

The Doctor never did that.

He always spoke to Jimin himself, looked him in the eye and made sure that he understood what was going on.

More importantly, he made sure Jimin was aware that he had a voice there, that he could make decisions about his health and his own body.

So when the Doctor took a seat next to Jimin's bed, his face grave Jimin sat up and listened.

He knew it was serious but that the doctor would tell him all he needed to know.

"Jimin your blood tests from this morning just came back."

"And they are significantly worse than yesterday."

"Your blood pressure is also on the rise again."

"despite all the medication."

Jimin had guessed that might be the case seeing as his ankles were swollen like balloons once more, his head ached and his vision was just a little blurred.

"What does that mean?" he asked already guessing the answer.

"It means that it's time for the babies to come out now," The Doctor said.

"As soon as possible."

"You're only going to get sicker and your body will start shutting down."

"You won't be able to provide the babies with what they need and they'll start to suffer too."

And Jimin didn't ever want that.

He glanced at Tae, who was sitting on the edge of the bed and holding Jimin's hand between both of his.

Tae nodded leaning down to kiss Jimin's swollen fingers.

"I'll call Jungkook tell him to come right back to be with us okay?"

"Yes he should be here," he agreed turning back to the Doctor.

"You're right."

"I can feel it all the symptoms are coming back."

"Whatever you think we need to do, I'm ready to do it."

The Doctor pushed to his feet. "Good. I'll call down to theater, let them know to expect us. We'll bring you down there shortly."

Jimin flopped back onto the bed once the doctor had left, exhausted from even that little interaction.

He scrubbed a hand over his eyes frowning at how blurred everything was once again.

"Jimin?" Tae asked.

"Tired," he murmured.

"Then sleep."

"I'll wake you if anything changes."

Distantly, he heard Tae's talk to Jungkook and then more voices were in the room.

"Jimin, it's time to head down to theater,"Tae said in his ear.

"Do you think you can wake up?"

It was easier said than done his body swollen and sore that band of pain around his ribs back with a vengeance.
