The Concept Game, Volume #2

You have a tradition where you go to iHop with some friends every few months to catch up with one another. You've been doing this for a few years now but this year would be the first time where you would bring your boyfriend, San along with you. You were definitely nervous to introduce him to your friends, especially your best friend as they were very critical about whoever you took interest in.

The first time you brought him, everyone was welcoming and nice to him. Surprisingly enough, even your best friend warmed up to him immediately.

"So does San have your approval?" You asked your best friend and they immediately nodded.

"He's definitely the best you've liked. You should bring him around more often." They said. You smiled with glee as this breakfast was a success. So for the next 2 trips, you brought him around and you saw that those two were getting along well. When it was time for the last trip for the year however, you noticed some weird things.

First, whenever you were around your best friend or San, they'd be paying more attention to their phone. You would catch them smiling at their phone and when you would ask what was funny, they would quickly dismissed it. Then the major kicker was that both of them couldn't make it to the hangout. Now with San, you were understanding at first because of him being an idol. It was strange however when you invited the other members to iHop and everyone accepted immediately.

On the day of, you texted the both of them asking if they could make but they both denied and promised they'll be there at the next one. Reading the messages with a sigh, you put on your shoes and headed over to iHop. You and the rest of the guys arrived at the same time but they looked at you in confusion when they saw you were alone.

"I thought San was with you?" Hongjoong asked. You shook your head at his question.

"No, he said something about a schedule or whatever. Which confused me because all of you said yes to my invite."

"He said he was going to pick you up." Wooyoung said. All of you stood in the parking lot, wondering where San could possibly be.

"Maybe we should get a booth first and then call him?" Jongho suggested. Everyone agreed and entered. Your usual waiter saw you walk in and immediately brought you all over to your favorite booth.

"____, I see you brought some new faces again. You didn't replace your old friends right?" The waiter asked playfully.

"No, but these are some new friends. They're friends with my boyfriend." You told them with a chuckle.

"Ah okay, well welcome boys! What can I get y'all? I already know what ____ wants." They asked, ready to take orders. After everyone places their orders, you shared with them how the tradition of coming to the restaurant started.

"That's really nice, thank you for wanting us to be apart of that!" Yeosang said cheerfully. You smiled back at him, stating how you're cool with them so it's only fair that they're apart of the fun. The waiter came back with some of the dishes, rushing to get the other plates so you can all eat together. Once all the meals and drinks arrived, you all dug in and stories upon stories were shared. You were so caught up with everything, you all forget about San's disappearance until your waiter came up to your booth.

"Uh ____..." They started, not sure how to break the news to you.

"Is everything okay?" You asked them, wondering why they were so nervous.

"Not exactly. Your best friend is here with a guy who looks like your boyfriend. Unless he has a twin, I think they're here on their own date." They said, watching your face as you processed the information. All of the guys were talking at once, expressing their confusion and/or angry.
