Echos of Dreams [Chap. 1]

I smile back at all them and talked for only a few minutes before I ran into the back. 10 minutes... That's enough time. The back was full of cooks, they all smiled as they were making some of the dishes we sell on a daily. I waved at them but it seemed like they didn't see me. Really?... I sigh and run around the kitchen, making sure I didn't bump into anyone or anything. I finally made it to the back, back of restaurant. Back there, there was a room specifically for changing into your work clothing. I stepped inside the room and frowned a bit. There was a huge mirror right on the wall. I grabbed my jacket and used it as a shield on the mirror. I hated how they all made me stare at my body... I quickly grabbed my bag, opened it, and grabbed the horrendous maid costume, and hurriedly put it on. I decided that today I should at least look at how I looked in this outfit. I never really tried before but, today I wanna make sure that It looked a little okay... 

I yanked the jacket off of the mirror...

"God... I look awful."

I walked out of the changing room. Before I knew it, a loud chime went off inside of the restaurant. It was time. Everyone got ready for the first costumers of the day.

A few moments pass and nothing happens which is strange. Our little cafe usually gets a handful of people who shop here. Some people also prey on our staff, of course I always bud in and almost beat the living hell of them but, people aren't always like that. Actually about last mon-

I turn towards the door. Two monsters appear on the other side of the cafe. All the waiting staff quickly run to the back, whether I want to realize this or not, this place is highly racist when it comes to monsters.

I glance in the back at all the other maid waitresses and they all just stare back at me. I let out a long sigh.

"Let me handle this one, okay?" I say so stupidly. I never ever wanted or NEEDED extra work on my plate but, of course, I just HAD to. The maids all looked at me and gave me a smile. It seemed like a pity smile but, I just looked away. Whenever we get new monsters here, i'm always the one who does their orders. The staff team here is disgusting.

The two monsters look around a little confused, there was a tall, blue one who resembled something of a fish. She had a white tank top on with black leggings. Her boots caught my attention. They were bright red, that color made my soul feel a little lighter. It was my favorite color.

"U-Uh Undyne a-are you sure t-t-this is the place? T-They look closed..." The other monster peeped up. She was yellow with scales all along her back and tail.

"Alphys! Trust me dear. This is sure as hell the right place!" The blue one, whom i'm assuming is Undyne, said.

I decided to walk towards them to greet them. As I made my way over to them the little yellow monster seemed to get really excited.

"Ooooh!! Undyne, Undyne!!! S-She looks like [            ]!" I didn't really catch the last part but, none of it really mattered.

I bowed down in front of them, then popped back up with a smile.

"Welcome to the maid cafe~ Today I shall serve you, my name is y/n. Please follow me to your table." For some reason, these two monsters give me a good feeling.

The two of them nod but, the lizard looking one seems to be much more excited than the fish one. I turn my back and start to lead them towards my favorite table in the whole place. It's right in the middle but, has a lot of decorations. From lace all around the table and chairs, to pink pastel stars hanging over them. Before the blue one sat, she pulled out the chair for the lizard one. How cute!! ~ I couldn't help but ship them together...
