Two jackets || Sans x reader || Read desc. for TW (ARCHIVED, NOT FINISHED)

I take a deep breath as I walk through the mall, back to sans. The passing people swerve around me, as I hold the basket with both of my hands. Who would have thought I'd meet her here.... out of anyone, I'm honestly glad It was Alysea. I started to zone out in the sea of people. 

I mean-- It's not like I don't miss the rest of them but, it would be too much. Sometimes, I feel like I'm forgetting them, slowly. Like they're just a fraction of my life, slowly disintegrating . Especially now, more than ever. These new people in my life, these new monsters in my life... I feel like they've given me a purpose. Even just a little bit, even if I've known them for only a few weeks. It feels like years, even if that sounds crazy. Something deep within me feels like I've known them forever... Like I've been with them, forever. 

Suddenly, like someone popped my thought bubble, a loud crashing noise came from behind me, and robbed me of my reflection period. Two shoppers had crashed into one another, either from ignorance, or just stupidity, neither of which I knew. 

"Watch where ya goin!" The monster shouted.

"You shouldn't even be here in the first place, watch were YOU'RE going... Filthy SCUM" The human replied. 

Apparently human and monster fights have been getting much more frequent. I hadn't seen them till now... I shake my head and continue on. I'd rather not get caught up in that, or mess with it for that matter. Right now, I had two goals in mind. One, get this basket back to sans. Two, shop for Papyrus' birthday. I kept on walking on, much more mindful of my surroundings now that I was stripped of my thoughts. There was a crowd surrounding the monster and human, and it just kept on getting bigger and bigger.... so there weren't that many people around. Which was a relief, I had a clear path back to sans, and could almost see him too. 

I had finally caught up with him, basket in tow. His calming smile seemed to widen when I walked up to him, "Oh wow, sorry that took forever," I apologized. 

"nah, it's cool. So, uh, which shop do ya wanna stop at first?" He asked. 

I gazed around for awhile, doing a sort of distanced window shopping. Oooo~ I spotted a little cute shop, at the end of the row. It was comic themed, and had a few things on display. I pointed over to it, "Over there!" I started to march over, holding onto sans' arm. I felt a slight blush creep up on me, and wondered if it was even okay for me to lug him around like this but, it seemed like he didn't mind. 

We were standing right in front of the shop, the lights glistened on sans' bones.... I don't know why that was the thing that stood out and I don't know why I took note of it. But I did. He glanced over to me, and caught me staring. I tried to play it off like I wasn't but, his smile got thinner, and I knew he didn't believe me. 

"alright, whateva you say y/n~ lets get goin though, papy's birthday is in two days. needa get the stuff n get ready." He walked into the store, and started to look around. I followed suit, a blushing mess. 

He was clearly teasing me about the whole thing... can't say I mind it though. The bright red walls, and yellow accents caught my eyes. This whole place was so colorful, and a sort of eye-candy (if you like that sort of thing). I skimmed around the shelves, looking for anything that screamed "papyrus", then I saw it. There were little key-chains inside a box, there were three of them. One was a skull in a cape, almost exactly like papyrus, the other one was a red car, again, like papyrus' car. And the last one was a sight to behold, it was covered in gold lining, and had a little character on it.... wait a second....

"B-BUNNY HOPS SEGA EX?!?!?!" I yelled, almost positively grabbing the attention of the entire store. I could hear someone behind me snickering. 

I turned around and saw sans glancing up at me, his cheeks lightly dusted. "you uh, really know how to announce where ya at.... i had began to though I lost you, until I heard ya.... pfft" the skeleton chuckled. 

My face was completely red, and I held the box of charms, "U-Uhm.... these charms seem cool, and then I noticed that this charm," I pointed at the bunny character I had lastly saw, "was a character from... that game." I handed him the box. "I thought papy would like it-"

"oh shit yeah he'd love it" he said. I was caught off-guard, hearing him curse for the first time ever. "i uh, dunno about the bunny though," he placed the box into his basket, "suppose we could do somethin' with it..." 

He walked off to the front of the room, and checked out the charms. I walked over to him, and smiled shyly, "I was gonna buy those, y'know...". He turned around and had that same smile plastered on his face, "I can just tell Papy they're from you," I cut him off, "They're from both of us. I found them, and you paid for them. Both. Of. Us." All he did was chuckle in response to me, "D'okay...." He said, putting the charms back in the basket.
