My dream slowly sways into nothingness as I wake. Today is Saturday and the day of the party. I open my eyes as my body started to cloud up in drowsiness. I placed my hand on my nightstand and aimlessly reach for my phone. I could hear the useless things on my stand fall to the ground, I keep on searching around, and then found it... after pushing almost everything off. I glance at the screen and messages piled up on my screen, another thing attached to my screen was the snooze button for my alarm. I decided that I would set one on my phone because my physical one was... well, broken. The alarm was set for 8:00 AM exactly, but it went off at 8:10 AM?... I guess I hit snooze by accident? Whatever... I decided to pull up the messages I had gotten...
+# (###)-###-####: <Hello! My name is Toriel, and I am one of the monsters running this wonderful event of our freedom from the underground. I have been informed by Alphys that she has invited you to this event, yes?>
Huh... Toriel? I've heard that name before... In the news, she was the one who answered all the questions for Frisk. She claimed that she took care of Frisk while they were in the underground. Maybe I should just add her to my contacts as well...
Me: <Hello there toriel, I'm y/n, and yes! Alphy did give me the information for the party and such. Is there anything you need to ask me?> Send?
I stare down at the text I just typed out... is it too straightforward? I mean, I just woke up and literally just met this lady... Ughhh i'm sick and tired of my uncertainty bullshit... I hit the send button. I put my phone down and get out of bed. I stretched a bit and walked toward my kitchen. My bedroom is directly next to my kitchen so there isn't much walking I need to be doing anyways. I get out my coffee grinds out of the freezer and a coffee filter. I put the coffee grinds into the filter and then place them gently into the coffee maker, trying to not make a mess. I grab the pot underneath the coffee maker and fill it up with water, then placed it back under the coffee maker. I hit the brew button and stepped away for a bit. I picked my phone back up and see that I got a message from toriel and the group chat. I decided to look at toriel's message.
Toriel: <There is not a single thing I need of you! I just want to get to know the last minute addition to our list of guest to the party.>
I smile down at the text. To me, she feels like a nice and honorable monster, I don't really understand why I get these feelings from a few words on my screen but something just tells me that she is...
Me: <Oh, that's fine. If I may ask, how many people will be at the party?>
Toriel: <Many humans and monsters. Our dearly beloved Frisk decided to invite as many as they could, and of course words do spread. Alphys & Undyne were supposed to spread the word of the party but, they somehow only invited one human. Which is you.>
I take a second before I figure out what to say next. Were they only being nice to me to get me to come to the party then, never, ever say anything else? I don't get it... they were so kind towards me... I get flashbacks of our conversation we had at the cafe.
"O-Oh and t-then usagi g-got rid of the b-b-bad guy! B-But honestly i-it was quite a shock to l-learn she was queen serenity..." Alphys said.
"OH HELL YEAH! And sailor mars is so cool! " Undyne cheered.
No... they seem to genuine. Besides, why would they chat to me the entire day. They obviously want to be friends... and they only invited me?
