"Don't worry, you'll still get it through texts and phone calls." You said, tapping their shoulder.

"Lucky me." They said sarcastically. You gasped and punched their arm. They exclaimed in pain, pinching your arm for revenge. You then screamed like them and you both glared at each other.

"I'm not gonna miss those pinchers of yours." You said, rubbing the spot they pinched.

"You say that now but you'll be crying over facetime about how much you miss holding my hands and all that stuff you say." They said, looking at you briefing before bringing their attention back to the road.

"You make me sound like I'm obsessed with you or something." You said, bringing the blanket closer to you.

"And that you are, now goodnight." They said, patting your thigh and adjusting your seat to move back with a push of a button. You mocked their sentence so you can get the last word and drifted off to sleep. What felt like roughly an hour, you woke up from your sleep but not in the car but on the comfort of your partner's bed. You hugged their pillow, realizing that this will be the last time you'll be on their bed for a long while.

"Am I interrupting something here?" Your partner joked as they walked into the bedroom.

"Eh, barely anything happened so you're good. But how did I get in here?" You said, sitting up and stretching.

"I carried you in, obviously." They said as they sat down on the bed, confused by that question. You blinked repeatedly at their obvious answer, deciding not to argue it.

"Anyways, thank you for bringing me here. I'm gonna miss having our sleepovers." You said, putting their pillow back in place.

"I am too. It gets lonely here sometimes." They said with a pout. You matched their pout for a moment before your nose picks up a smell. You sniff the air and smell good food.

"Are you cooking something?" You asked.

"I just finished, I made you my specialty." You gasped as you knew they cook their specialty every now and then.

"You really made your specialty for me?"

"Of course! I have to make sure my baby is well fed before they leave me." You smiled at the answer, giving them a kiss before getting out of the bed. Your feet barely touched the ground as they carried you to the dining table. After being seated and them sitting across from you, the two of you ate lunch. They went through a checklist, making sure that you had everything ready to go as they were going to be bringing you to the airport.

"I have everything, trust me. You packed for me remember?" You asked.

"I should be charging you for my services." They said with a huff, leaning back in their seat.

"You can charge someone else because I get the lover discount which is 100% off." You said proudly, big smile spreading on your face. They rolled their eyes at you but the smile on their face gave them away that they're not really annoyed.

You two spent the rest of the day together at home, keeping things casual and having your last at home date for a while. You ordered from your favorite restaurant for dinner, savoring the food to your best of your ability. The two of you got ready for bed and tried to fall asleep as you had an early morning ahead of you.

"I'm really gonna miss all of this." You said to your partner after you woke up. They frowned, realizing that you really are going back home after knowing each other for a year. You too frowned, mirroring their expression. They made you a quick but fulfilling breakfast as you packed your last minute essentials such as your toiletries. You then brought your luggage out to the front of the house, your partner loading them in the car as you ate the breakfast prepared. After finishing up, you washed the dishes and your hands. Going to put your shoes on, you took a good look at the space before going in the car. They locked the house door and got in the car, locking it and drove to the airport.

You had control of the aux, putting your music on shuffle. At some point during the ride, rhe song 'October' by Alessia Cara starts to play. As the song progressed, the tears started to flow. You kept wiping away your tears, all of your emotions hitting you at once. You feel the car come to a stop and you turn to the side and see that you arrived at the airport. You look at your partner through teary eyes to see that their eyes are also red. Without exchanging another word, you both get out the car to unload the luggage. Once it was out the car, you two stood and looked at one another. It felt like a scene in a movie because they instantly pulled you in for a breath taking kiss, putting all their might into it as neither of you will know when you'll each other again.

You reluctantly pulled away from the kiss but gave them a big hug, squeezing them in the process. They returned the squeeze and let go, not wanting you to be late for anything. Giving them one last kiss, you took your luggage and wheeled away from them, stopping to turn around every few steps. You blew multiple kisses at the last point where they were visible, them catching each one. You took a deep breath after waving goodbye one last time, turning around and walking through the airport. You knew you'd come back again and you were already planning in your mind the next trip as you miss your friends and your lover oh so much even though you just left them.
