"Ok. Now what?" (Y/n) questioned no one in particular as she crossed her arms over her chest and cross legged on the ground of a narrow suffocating cell. Taking refuge in the safety the flimsy bars provided, but hey, it was better than nothing! Far better than fully exposing one's self to whatever was roaming in the maze of hallways. Her current pitiful state was enough of a proof. Her hair was disheveled, glasses were out of place and tilting dangerously to the right and clothes a bit dusty.

She really almost died to a giant cyclops right after starting her journey.

Talk about spawn killing.

After successfully clearing her first mission, (y/n) gained her right to leave the room alive, to move on to see the light of day again and continue the game.

How absolutely delightful.

Everything was according to her calculations.

What she didn't take into consideration however, was that immediately upon exiting the room, she would come face to face with a whole horde of monsters.

Those disgusting goblins featured in the manhwa at that. There were also some indescribable giant horrors at that. Safe to say she ran as if her life depended on it, because her life did indeed depend on it.

Zooming and dashing in the halls as they chased after her like a rare snack...

She trembled at the recollection.

Never again. Never.

She was a bit too old for a game of chase.

They were at

It was only when she was finally out of danger, that (y/n) stopped to take a small break, still in the middle of the hallway, but it was empty, so she's currently safe for the moment. She was panting and profusely sweating, (y/n) took a breath, only to stop immediately, gasping and gagging, it felt like her lungs were on fire and her heart running 62 miles per hour.

"Urgh- Um...M-maybe I pushed myself a bit too hard- Goodness! A 6 in stamina is definitely no joke..." (y/n) heaved out, trying to catch her breath as she used the dusty rough wall beside her as support. Sweat rolling down her forehead and cheek.

Those bastards were really at every single twist and corner! Goodness were they so persistent!

Still, at least she seemed to have lost them a little while ago. Maybe it was safe enough to allow her body a short moment of respite? Was there even somewhere in here considered safe except Hyunsung's camp?

She didn't want to think about it.

Since she just couldn't.

She staggered as her vision started to blur along the edges, particles of light dancing in her sight. She felt dizzy and nauseous, a rush of uncomfortable heat rushing to her face and buzzing ears. She tried to take a breath in to ease whatever she could, but her tightening chest stubbornly refused to, it was agonizing.

Unable to keep herself up from how numb her legs went, she harshly fell down to the ground. Ungraceful.

'Did not think it was possible to get a heart attack... just from running this much...'

The thought sparked in her mind like bitter mockery.

She shakily looked up with half lidded eyes, snapping out of her thoughts when she suddenly noticed a shadow in the short distance, slowly approaching. Too close to not be aware of its presence yet too far to make out what it was.
