'Too bad surviving's not as easy as taking a walk in the park...'
With a small sigh, (y/n) begrudgingly but inevitably got up from her not so comfortable 'bed', which was mainly and only made up of what she could recognize as some old fabric the few brave ones retrieved with their sweat and blood from the dangerous dungeon (Kim Hyunsung). Although upon closer inspection, the young woman noticed that the pillow supporting her head and the blanket covering her exhausted frail body appeared to be of higher quality than the people around her had in their possession. 'Oolala~ I'm living the luxe indeed. At least in my current predicament.' (y/n) couldn't help but think, seems like her comrades put in a good word for her to Jihye; although she had to remind herself that the woman is a cunning one and would most likely try to get in her good favors since she's a doctor and it wouldn't be good to have her as an enemy, so a little mental preparation wouldn't be bad when facing such people.
As she got up and took her glasses along with her, (y/n) grasped her throbbing head in her hands, staggering slightly when a mild feeling of dizziness overtook her mind momentarily, similar to when someone stays in bed for far too long and tries to get up afterwards. She shook her head slightly to get rid of the uncomfortable sensation and to help her regain a semblance of lucidity, a clear mind is essential when one wishes to start planning their scheme afterall. 'Hmm.... Now now.... how should I act this time around? I behaved like a doting and kind aunt to Deokgoo and while it is true that I didn't have much interactions with Hyunsung and Kiyoung.... I did at least try my best to seem useful and dependable by using my knowledge to heal them, so they shouldn't view me as a burden on the long run, hopefully. And Hayan? Well obviously I treated her like a kind unnie would! No need to raise so many red flags at once people! But how should I go around it with Jihye....?' (y/n) pondered as she rubbed her chin with her fingers while walking around the camp, her eyes trailing back and forth between the multiple resident to get some ideas for her future plan of actions. A small path forming in her mind slowly but surely as she carried on her mini exploration of this place and took note of some details she might find use for later on in time.
Suddenly, her trains of thoughts got disturbed by an exterior force strong enough to make her body shake. Angry at having been bumped into, (y/n) looked down at the perpetrator to give them a clear piece of her mind only to stare them down instead, "S-sorry noona!" a young child apologized with tears in his eyes, the woman immediately noticing the small bruises and cuts on him, it seems that the other adults in this camp are not as kind or tolerant towards this youngling. An idea suddenly sparked in her mind while staring into the poor kid's shaking form, a subtle grin spread on her face at the realization of something else when her eyes locked into the familiar form of a person in the crowd of people. This.... didn't seem so accidental.
"Oh! do not worry sweetie! Mistakes happen all of the time don't they? Just be careful and don't run around or else you might get hurt." (y/n) said as she kneeled down to the small boy's level, patting his head reassuringly to lure him into some false sense of reassurance and trust, "By the way.... Do you happen to know where your mother is darling? A young child shouldn't be left completely unattended like this." she added while looking around, impatiently waiting for something or more like someone to make their appearance, 'Come on.... Come on.... show yourself.'
"Hello miss! sorry to bother! I hope little Jag-Eun here didn't inconvenience you or anything?" a voice boomed with a cheerful tone from behind (y/n)'s crouching form, her grin growing ever so slightly since she now knew that her hunch was absolutely right once again. 'Bingo.'
"The name's Lee Jihye! but feel free to just call me Jihye." the woman in question presented herself before turning to the boy that stood awkwardly between them, "and you... little rascal.... didn't I tell you before to be careful where you walk and to not run around? this is the third time today that you cause troubles! You better apologize to the lady in front of you right away." Jihye said as she pinched Jag-Eun's poor ear to reprimand him, "It's alright miss Lee! I really do not mind as long as this little fella here promises to be more cautious and vigilant in the future." (y/n) replied almost instantly, sweatdropping when Jihye started scolding him, turning towards the boy with a small smile still plastered on her face, "Right? So off you go kiddo!" she added to which Jag-Eun nodded his head before immediately walking away once he realized that he was free to go now. But before he could completely get away, (y/n) stopped him in his tracks and put some candy in his small fragile hands, Jag-Eun looked up at her with stars in his eyes, trailing down from the sweets then up to the woman a few times, as if asking her if she really was giving these treasures to him and feeling unsure whether he could take them. With a nod of confirmation of her head, the little boy smiled with pure joy before walking away to an unclear direction.
