Penny quickly put her hair into a ponytail as she rushed to the door to let Marinette in. She had been sitting on pins and needles the whole time, so many questions had plagued her and now she could barely hide her impatience.

"Finally! Come on in," she said happily, shooing Marinette into her apartment. Her new friend just giggled and rolled her eyes.

"So, did you find it exciting today?" she asked immediately after Penny closed the door.

"It was awesome!" Penny gushed, grabbing the prepared cookies from the kitchen that she had bought on the way home. Shrugging her shoulders, she turned back around. "Well, I only ran away once for a bit, but the adrenaline rush was awesome!"

"You could help us out more often," Marinette suggested with amusement.

"I could sew myself a costume and then add it to my holo pad," Penny said thoughtfully.

"Your what?" asked Marinette, confused, and Penny grinned maliciously.

"Here," she said cocky and opened her holo-screen. "With these special gloves, I can open my holo pad and I can even store clothes. Check it out," she then explained, selecting her scuba gear and having it put on. Within seconds she was standing in front of Marinette in her orange and blue suit with a dive mask. She spun around once.

"That's so cool!" Marinette said, apparently struggling a lot with her excitement. After all, her body was almost vibrating as she knelt on the floor. Penny quickly changed back into her clothes, the wetsuit was a bit cold after all.

"Alright, let's work on clothes," she said excitedly, holding up a pair of scissors. Marinette rose to her feet.

"Oh yeah, let's hit the streets of Paris' fashion world!" she exclaimed with motivation, and Penny giggled.

"I still have so many questions!", Penny then added and Marinette laughed a little embarrassed and scratched the back of her neck.

"I can imagine. I'll tell you everything and how I came to be Ladybug in the first place," Marinette said a little meekly and Penny nodded in understanding.

"You don't have to be nervous. I won't tell anyone and I'll take the secret to my grave," Penny promised and then just tossed a t-shirt towards Marinette, who caught it a bit awkwardly.

"Thank you," Marinette said a little more relaxed. "So first, a warning. Don't be alarmed." Penny tilted her head in confusion and Marinette opened her bag.

Out floated a small creature with a cute tail and two antennae. It had big blue eyes and was red with a black dot on its forehead. It was exceedingly cute, but still a little strange.

The animal - was it even an animal? - flew around Penny in small circles and then landed in Marinette's outstretched hand.

"This is Tikki. She's my kwami," Marinette told her, and Penny's eyes widened in mild disbelief.

"Hi. It's nice to meet you, Penny," Tikki said enthusiastically, holding out her small hand to her.

Penny stuck her finger out at her in amazement and they shook hands - or fingers.

"Hello, Tikki. It's nice to meet you too," she smiled then and Marinette giggled with amusement.

"You look like your eyes are about to fall out," she said casually and Penny blushed a little embarrassed.

"I'm sorry," she admitted meekly, leaning back a bit.

"But this is really important," Marinette said seriously now, and Penny immediately listened to her again attentively. "Kwamis give a person their powers. Only together can they really be used without wreaking havoc. The magic of the Miraculous, my earrings, masks my identity," Marinette explained and Penny nodded.
