Marinette was on alert immediately. Cat Noir was, too. Knockout gas was no good. It meant that those lousy villains knew very well that they were here.

"We have to get out of here right now!" said Cat Noir, running for the door. They wouldn't be able to get back through the shafts without falling over.

Marinette followed him immediately after he kicked open the door with his staff. And lucky for them that Marinette and Cat Noir had gone through first, because there were tons of dragon hunters in the hallway on their other side.

"Fire!" one shouted angrily and Marinette immediately armed herself with her yoyo. She deflected all the tranquilizer darts and they slammed into the wall.

Cat Noir went on the offensive with his staff without hesitation while Marinette provided cover for Penny and Fontaine.

"We could transform, then we could get away faster," Fontaine said, but Marinette shook her head.

"That would be pure madness. Bigger body means bigger target. And we can't throw another building destroyed by dragons at the media. The hunters would use that to put you in bad light," Marinette said, fending off more arrows as they slowly walked back down the hall to find another route.

Fontaine didn't seem thrilled, but Penny backed her up.

"Ladybug is right, we can't get carried away," she said, and as they turned the corner they were surprised by another group of hunters.

"Damn it!" shouted Fontaine, immediately switching places with Marinette so she would be protected behind her.

Penny had apparently had enough and charged toward the hunters as well. She was furious and swiftly dodged the projectiles, she was too fast and too agile for the hunters to have good aim.

Penny took advantage of this weakness and landed right in the middle of the group, immediately kicking two of the people unconscious. Marinette was always impressed that Penny could fight. It didn't really sink into her head that much.

Fontaine couldn't fight, but that didn't matter. The only problem was that they had to get out of here somehow.

"Penny, I need you to use the holo-screen to find an exit, fast!" Fontaine shouted as she seemed to have thought the same thing Marinette had.

"On it!" Penny yelled back and Marinette took out another fighter. Penny jumped behind Marinette and activated her holo-pad. She let her eyes wander intently over the blue screen before her vision brightened.

"I got a window!" she exclaimed.

"Cat Noir, did you hear that?" asked Marinette, and Cat Noir was thrown back hard at that exact moment by a very large, very muscular hunter.

"Yes," he groaned in pain.

Marinette lashed out with her yoyo and delivered a well-aimed blow to the man's temple, knocking him out instantly. If you knew certain weak points, you could use them.

Penny fended off the other darts from the small group in front of them with her holo-pad. Apparently it worked somehow. But it kept flashing so strangely.

"Damn it," she hissed as the shield dissipated and Cat Noir slowly rose again.

"What is it?" asked Fontaine, slightly panicked.

"Because I'm no longer a member of HQ for the moment, my access is temporarily locked and most functions are down or limited!" she said guiltily, and Marinette held back another wave of attacks, managing to bring two opponents to the ground.

"This is not your fault. You do what you can," Cat Noir encouraged her and Fontaine nodded confidently.

"You know the way. Get us out of here," she asked and Penny smiled slightly. A little encouraged, she nodded and looked around.
