"I have one small question," the princess told Namjoon as he began to put his language books into a pile.
"Ask away."
"What does idelis mean?"
"Ah-bup-bup," the prince tutted, shaking his head at the princess before Namjoon had a chance to think about the question. "That, def-idelis, shall remain a secret until later."

"Ms Bahiyyih?" The princess asked as Bahiyyih helped her dress for dinner with the king.
"Yes, my lady?" She asked as she got the ribbon to tie the princess's stockings.
"Do you speak Ordiant?" She asked, quirking her head to the side gently as Bahiyyih gently tied the ribbon in a bow under the princess's knee.
"Amea," she answered with a nod. When the princess's only response was a furrowed brow and a tilted head, Bahiyyih met her eyes and saw her confusion. "That means yes."
"Amea," the princess repeated quietly with a nod.
After another minute of silence, Bahiyyih had tied the princess's stockings into neat little bows right below her knees.
"Ms Bahiyyih?" The princess asked once again.
"Yes, my lady?"
"Could you teach me how to tie a bow?"
Bahiyyih wasn't sure how to react. The princess certainly had a couple of years on her, so she expected a certain degree of wisdom. Perhaps she was ignorant to the life of a Royal. After all, she was always the one tying the bows around the castle. Why should anyone else know how to do it when Bahiyyih always does it herself? Nonetheless, she felt somewhat of a maturity compared to the princess who sat in front of her, and she could see that the princess felt it too. Perhaps that's why she wished to gain independence. Bahiyyih knew, however, that there were things the princess knew that she didn't know how to do. Things like reading and writing. Things that would be expected of a princess, like which fork and spoon to use for what dish. Things like common manners and the basics of dealing with diplomatic situations. All of these things were areas of expertise amongst royals, yet she knew how to do none of them, and that kept Bahiyyih in her place. The princess may have felt inferior for not knowing how to do the simple things, but she knew how to do the complex things and that is what really mattered.
"Perhaps I shall teach you when we have more time, but you are off to meet the King and I am sure that you wish to give the best impression you can," Bahiyyih assured her."You are right. Thank you, Ms Bahiyyih."
The dress was a navy blue. The sleeves had a black lace on them that frilled out at the ends to give her a puffy sleeve. The hips of her dress, that were flared out, had that same navy blue colour and matching lace overlay. The middle of the bodice and the layer below the layer that created the illusion of flared hips, was a more royal blue. The front of the bodice hand a fake laced detail made of a strip of gems that fell down the front of her dress like a waterfall.
After the gown was finished, Bahiyyih worked her magic on the princess's hair and applied a small amount of makeup. After Bahiyyih had finished her work, she insisted that the princess remain in her room and that she would get someone to escort her to dinner.

"You seriously expect them to listen to me?" Kai asked, his brows furrowing with disbelief, mouth hanging slightly ajar.
"Why wouldn't they?" Soobin asked casually as he walked along next to the younger boy.
"Because I am a page and they are knights! Their status is above mine and if they so wished, their status would allow them to behead me at will!"
"You over exaggerate," Soobin shrugged, rolling his eyes at the dramatic tone of the page who walked slightly behind him.
"The only reason they listen when you are around is simply because of your presence!"
"I simply took the day to assist my betrothed with her studies. I should not be expected to be giving orders 24 hours a day, should I?" Soobin asked, raising a brow at the loyal page beside him.
"I suppose not," the page answered in defeat. "You shall have to introduce her to me one day."
"You shall have to remember that she is betrothed."
"I have never attempted to charm the betrothed of another! I do not know what you accuse me of!" Kai gasped, offended at the insinuation of such things.
"It is simply a jest," the prince chuckled gently. "But if you so much as smile a little too wide, you would do well to consider your days numbered."
"If you weren't a prince," Kai started, grumbling the rest of his sentence unintelligibly.
"My Prince!" Bahiyyih greeted as she approached the two who paced the corridor aimlessly.
"Ms Bahiyyih," Soobin greeted back, bowing his head gently.
"Your betrothed awaits you," she told him, gesturing towards his door.
"Perfect. I shall see the two of you on the morrow." He bowed his head to the two as he headed towards the room of the Princess.
"He is very enamoured with this princess," Kai observed as he and his sister began to walk down the corridor to finish their long days work.
"She is quite a character," Bahiyyih confirmed.
"I hope to meet her someday."
"I believe she will be keeping herself busy for the time being," Bahiyyih told her brother.
"Oh?"
"My lady started her Ordiant studies today. Not only that but she is meeting the king. After she is approved of, she will begin the wedding planning and she must study the matters of diplomacy between nations and the typical role of the queen. She must also learn the role of the king to act in his stead. She's got much work ahead of her."
"I see. So this is just the beginning."
"That it is."
Ordiant Translations Unlocked!!
From now on, I will be including translations of any Ordiant phrase used in the chapter in a small glossary at the end of each chapter. I will be adding phrases as the character learns them, so if a word is used in a chapter or has been used previously and the character in the story doesn't know them yet, then they won't be added to the glossary yet.
As translations are provided, I will make sure that major sentences in prior chapters continue to have no translation, even if someone comments it afterwards. The reasoning for having Ordiant to begin with is to provide a sense of confusion and curiosity so that the reader can relate to the character in the story, and as the character learns the language, so does the reader.
Thanks so much!
