Not like any other Nerd ~ Tadashi x Reader

It's almost Christmas. Yall how is it almost Christmas already? I swear I just updated this and yet that was already a month ago. Wher'd this past month go? 

Question! If you could give Tadashi a gift for Christmas, what would you give him? 

I'd give him spearmint gum, I feel he's a minimalist. That or like a gift card to a cafe he loves or something, idk he literally lives above a cafe so. Anyways onto the story! Thank you all for 70k reads!?!!? God damn, yasss give Tadashi some love! He's great and I am glad I started writing this story!

You guys decided on eating at the burrito place and you got yourself a (insert) burrito! Excited for your afternoon adventures you were glad to sit at the table. You should probably get some coffee before you head back with everyone as well. You looked around the table, a calm settling over you.

These are your friends. You sighed as you thought bought to when you first came to this school. You knew no one and saw so many friend groups. You remember the wish you wished, that you could fit yourself in one of the groups, that you could have friends to count on. As you looked at Tadashi, you blushed and went back to your burrito.

You never thought about anything past friends, you never thought you'd have someone that was going to somehow maybe likely like you. And then your thoughts raced to Gogo. She said that. 

She said that she liked you. 

You wanted to friends but suddenly had someone like you. You didn't know how any of this happened. Meant to put one foot in the water and ended up diving in. 

It really did all happen so fast. The first day you went to organize your office. Wasabi and Tadashi were there. 

Grabbing coffee for your new found friends, for your teachers. 

You were glad to made sure to include everyone. You felt happy here. 

"What are you thinking about?" You snapped back and it was Honey Lemon that asked you. You smiled. 

"I am glad that my office was in the same room as you guys! I never thought I'd have this much fun at a school," you let you thoughts come out for once. Gratitude showed you where you were and what happiness came from it. She nodded.

"I am as well Biscuit, you kind of just fit in, a puzzle piece we never knew we were missing," her words hit you and she made you happy in that one sentence. You always felt as though she was angry with you, but she just called you by your new found nickname. That he gave you. 

"Yeah, you fit in with us quite well actually!" Fred said nodding. 

"A little too well," that was Hiro, you laugh at him and he was smiling widely. 

"I am glad," you guys ate the rest of lunch and moved through the halls, everyone with a new cup of coffee, or teas in Wasabi and Honey Lemon's case. And Hiro got himself a hot chocolate. 

"Alright we can put the mini library on wall near the entrance! That way we can see it every time we come through here! And who knows maybe that will be our mark here in this little corner of the university! Maybe future students who will have our offices will add to it!" Wasabi's excitement for this mini library excited you. You will have to make sure to put your name in your books. A mark left in the uni, a good mark you think. 

"It's not much but this is quite fun!" Gogo said responding back to him. 

"Make sure to add your name to your books!" You said voicing your thoughts and they all nodded except for Wasabi. 

"But we can't destroy the books!" His eyes looked at you and a solution was already in your head. 

"Add a bookmark to it with your name! That way they won't be dog-eared either," he nodded accepting this solution. You felt something warm near your hand and realized Tadashi had crept near you, almost holding your hand. You instinctively went to grab it but you quickly tried to extract your hand realizing you never did this in front of everyone before. But it was too late, he held on with a mischievous smile as he chimed into the conversation. 

"That's a really good idea Biscuit," you smiled and nodded up at him. You saw the blush in his ears and couldn't help but suddenly feel light.

He made you so happy with the smallest of gestures.
