Terror From the Deep

Starhunter, Wingshredder, Muck, and Ash were getting ready to get to the Sea Kingdom. Ash was, despite being a prisoner, quite upbeat. "Ai, I still don't know why we're going on this whole quest, why don't they send troops? Whatever, we're going to earn our freedom from this trip." Ash said, sounding chipper, Muck spoke up, "Yeah, they are sending us a suicide mission so we can earn our freedom, freedom isn't nothing if you're dead on the seafloor." Starhunter could tell despite her callousness, she was scared, as well as excited about her potential freedom. Wingshredder stayed quiet, while Starhunter spoke up as well, "Don't have such a sour outlook, we'll be fine, and then you can have your freedom, and return to your tribes." He could tell Muck thought his naivety was funny, cute almost, but she wasn't putting up with it. "You're the reason we're here, just stop speaking." Wingshredder growled at her, she was quite protective over Starhunter, seeing as how bookish, and little battle-smarts he had. Ash looked upset at the whole exchange the three were having. He was happy about his freedom, and he liked talking to Starhunter so far, they both liked scrolls, and were both kind of scared, but excited about going on the whole trip. Muck and Wingshredder probably would've gotten along if they weren't always at each other's throats. Once they had been packed up with all of the supplies they would need for the trip they started flying. The first stop would be in the Rainwing forest where they had good relations, then they would make small stops along the way. So they flew, and flew, and flew until they had reached the forest, once they entered six Rainwings came out with blowguns and spears, "We know you took Jamal!"

"Jamal? The prince?"

"Yes, someone took him, and we're sure it was you."

"Why would we do it? It was probably Deepreef." Starhunter said the word 'Deepreef' quietly, like just saying the word would summon him. "Deepreef? The Seawing? Why would he be out here?"

"Probably to gain you as an ally, or to kill you." he said the last part coldly. "Alright, come on in, any suspicious activity, and you're gone, either from the village, or the world." Muck snarled but walked in. It was always a pleasure to enter the Rainwing kingdom, a couple of dragons ran up to them, with sloths and fruit and herbs, "Nightwing friends! You've brought some others with you, no? Of course you did, we appreciate new blood!" With fruits shoved into their hands and Rainwings crowding around them, they flew up to see Queen Glory of the Rainwings. Despite Muck's tough demeanor she gladly ate the food the greeters had brought them. Once they had the crowd off of them and entered Glory's house they bowed, all except Muck that is, Glory smiled at them, and motioned for them to stand, then spoke, "Why are you here Nightwings, and who have you brought with you?" she said in a slightly amused voice. Ash put his best smile on and shrugged his shoulders before putting on his most seductive voice, "Queen Glory, we come asking fo-"

"Ash, let me do the talking, okay?" Starhunter busted in before starting again, "Queen Glory, we are on our way to the Sea Kingdom, we have heard of discontentment they might be facing, and these two are helping us. We ask only that we may have lodging and food for a small while." Glory's face dropped, "What is going on in the Sea Kingdom?" she asked slightly curiously, slightly concerned, "Are they okay?" Starhunter dipped his head, "We have heard reports of a, 'Deepreef' a large Seawing, who is at war with the Seawing king and queen, we are there to scout, and if we can, try to diffuse this whole fiasco." Glory's face went back to a neutral, before turning slightly more cheerful. "Make yourself at home, we always love to have visitors, you can lodge in the guest house and we'll bring you food everyday." With that she dismissed them and they found the way to the guest lodge, where there were many nice beds, as well as lots of windows and food. Ash leapt on a bed and bounced up and down like a dragonet, Muck snarled at him, "Stop acting like a damned dragonet. Get off the bed, you're a prisoner, remember that." Ash slowly got off and slapped her in the face, "Stop being such an uptight hog." he said and flew out the door, Starhunter tried to keep his laughter in, while Wingshredder laughed so hard she started to cry. Muck growled and laid in her bed, while Starhunter and Wingshredder left, leaving her behind. They caught up with Ash in the market, where he was buying some of the supposed 'most delicious' food in the entire world. "What's up friends? This food is most good, they gave me a free sample. It's beef and fruit together in a bowl, you can drink it up or use a stick." They all bought a bowl, and while the other two weren't looking, Starhunter bought one for Muck, she might be a jerk, but she was still helping them and she was still a dragon. He realized the soup was getting cold y, so he headed up to lodge.

Deepreef was searching through the wreckage of the palace when he came upon a young dragon, he saw a great future and fighter within her. He knew immediately she would either be a powerful ally or powerful foe, he also knew which one he wanted her to be. "I can keep you and your family safe from the soldiers if you help me." she stared at him, "Alright." Was all she said, then, "My name is Abyss. Yours?"

"Deepreef."
