Chapter 54- speechless

I snorted. "Yeah."

Does she know about the actual events that happened that day? The day I've been anxiously waiting for finally came and suddenly we both get attacked. I let out a quiet sigh and pulled out my phone.

"When is this bell gonna ring?" I looked at the time. There was still around 3 minutes till the bell would ring. The bus definitely came a bit late.

"Speaking of time- you came a bit more late than usual today." I remarked, putting my phone back in my pocket.

"I woke up late and missed the bus. I had to wake up my older brother." She scoffed. "He made me more late though. He's a slug in the morning!"

...

"Although.. so am I.." She whispered and I laughed.

I missed when we all got to hang out together. I saw Mark walk in and nodded at me. He smiled at Kasy and I saw her cheeks flush. I snickered.

"Wow Kasy! Subtle flirting already?" I chuckled looking at both of them. Mark looked at his friend group at the corner and back at us. I saw him hesitate before he quickly shuffled over to us.

"Hey Y/n" He gave me a weak smile.

"Hey Markkk" I raised an eyebrow. I looked at Kasy and realised that they probably wanted to talk.

"Oh is that Michael I see?- I'll talk to you guys later" I gave Kasy a quick wink and her eyes widened. I didn't see Michael.

"Have fun" I snickered and walked away. I turned back and Mark sat down next to her. I felt like a proud mother for some reason. I didn't help their relationship or anything, but that feeling felt quite nice.

"Such simps for each othe-"

I was stunned when I bumped into someone. I felt my head hit their hard chest and I almost fell on top of them. One of my hands were grasping their shoulder and the other was tugging their sleeve. I was looking down and when I opened my eyes I recognised those shoes. I looked up.

"Woah- you better not be falling for other dudes like this" He smirked.

"Michael?- I- I didn't see you on the bus-" I let go of him and stood infront. I felt sweat drip down my back.

That was so stupid.

"Ah sorry- I take the car to school now" He raised his eyebrows. "What? Do you miss our morning chats?" He snickered.

"No. We can have those chats here- it's still morning" I crossed my arms.

"Uh huhh but we're alone on the bus. Not counting the quiet kids in the back" he smirked.

"Mike shut up-" I whispered in embarrassment. I looked around and sighed. Good thing majority of people are much deeper in the school.

"Cmon let's go sit" he put his hand on my back and gently guided me with him. "W-well okay" I cleared my throat.

"Wait!" I stopped him. "Uhh let's not sit with Kasy." I quickly remembered.

"Aren't you two friends?" He asked, intrigued.

"Well yea but she's sorta busy" I sighed. "Her and Mark are a thing now so you know.. I think they wanted to talk" I snickered.
