Tsu'kida woke up, at the same time she did every day. She found herself in a different place, not in her home, but in one she remembered. She looked around, getting completely paralyzed, she couldn't believe she was there.
The Metkayina then made eye contact with someone that was also in there, a lady that she remembered as her mother. Tsu'kida got down from her swing and walked slowly in her mother's direction, not believing what she was seeing. She stopped next to her, the older one giving her a confused look while she cut some fruits.
─ Are you okay, sweetie? ─ the woman spoke, putting one of her hands on the girl's shoulder. That made Tsu'kida break down into tears, she couldn't hold them back for longer. Her mother quickly pulled her into a tight hug. ─ Hey what's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?
─ I'm okay, sa'nok, it wasn't a nightmare... I just felt like it... ─ Tsu'kida's mother got her hands on her daughter's shoulders, looking straight into her eyes.
─ Are you sure, sweetie?
─ Yes, mother, it's nothing. ─ she answered, giving her mother a smile.
─ Well, then sit with me and have some fruit, I just grabbed it and it looks delicious! ─ the oldest one said, patting the ground next to her for her daughter to sit there.
The two Metkayinas ate the fruit calmly, enjoying its taste on every bite they took. They didn't talk while they were eating, but the silence wasn't uncomfortable at all.
─ Where's dad? ─ Tsu'kida asked, looking outside through the entrance of their home.
─ Tonowari called him earlier, he wanted your father to go visit the other clans with him.
─ Why are they visiting the other clans, sa'nok? Did something happen? ─ the girl asked with worry in her words.
─ Oh don't worry about it, my dear. Your father and Tonowari will fix it in no time, just like they always do! ─ the mother got her hand up, messing a bit her daughter's hair. ─ Have you finished already? ─ Tsu'kida nodded as a response. ─ Then you can leave now, you were going to play with Aonung and Tsireya today, right?
─ Yes! We were going to go look for seashells! ─ the smallest one said, with glow in her eyes and a smile on her lips.
─ Be careful, okay? And have fun!
Tsu'kida kissed her mother on the cheek and started running, grabbing a small bag before leaving the house. She kept running until she arrived at the beach. Tsireya and Aonung weren't there, so she sat on the sand and played with it, building a small castle.
─ Boo! ─ Aonung jumped next to Tsu'kida, startling her and making her let out a quiet scream.
─ Aonung! I've told you a million times to not scare her! ─ Tsireya appeared behind Aonung, grabbing his brother's shoulder and making him turn to face her for him to see the angry look she had on her face. ─ Now say sorry or I'll tell dad.
─ I'm sorry, Tsu'kida... ─ he said, turning again to face the girl the was still seating on the sand.
─ It's okay, I'm starting to get used to it. ─ she said, looking up at Aonung and smiling at him, making a small smile appear in his lips too. ─ Anyways, let's get going! You two were late and I really want to go for seashells!
The three kids ran towards the water and got into it, swimming away from the beach. They started diving looking for seashells, but they couldn't see any. They decided to go a little further, where the beach got deeper and had tiny caves.
