A week had passed now and the day had already started for everyone in Awa'atlu. Na'vis were walking around the area with baskets in their hands filled with fish they had just caught and other things, others just moving stuff or simply appreciating the nice weather of the day.
Tsu'kida was now walking down the path with a basket filled with fresh fish in her hands, making her way to the beach as she watched the others.
She met eyes with Tsireya, who was standing outside of her house. Tsu'kida waved at her and smiled, receiving the same actions from the other girl and seeing her start running in her direction.
─ Kida! I was waiting for you to arrive. ─ Tsireya exclaimed as soon as she got to where Tsu'kida was, standing right in front of her. ─ I can't go with the others today, I have to do some things... can you tell them for me, please? ─ Reya spoke fastly with nervousness on her voice, not even giving the girl time to answer. ─ I have to go now, bye!
And she ran away, leaving Tsu'kida with her mouth open since she was about to speak. The Metkayina ignored how nervous her friend was and continued with her task, walking again to the beach.
When she arrived, she took a few steps into the water and called the Ilus. They got there in no time, already trying to steal fish from the basket. Tsu'kida pulled the basket away making them stop and then fed them, giving each of them the same amount.
The girl stayed a bit with the Ilus, petting them and watching them play with each other. She then walked out of the water, walking to a side of the beach to leave the basket there and then grab a saddle from their usual place.
The Metkayina then saw the Sullys walking outside of their house, the two brothers on the front and their father following behind. She didn't greet them since they hadn't seen her there, and then looked into the house, seeing Kiri and Tuk preparing something with their mother.
Tuk was grabbing the things Kiri was preparing and putting them in a basket, while their mother did the same by herself. The youngest looked up, seeing the girl who was now standing outside of their door.
─ Tsu'kida! ─ Tuk said, grabbing the other two's attention and making them stop what they were doing to look up.
─ Hey Tsu'kida ─ Kiri spoke with a calm but sad tone, leaving the Metkayina confused as she couldn't recognize it was from sadness or tiredness, or maybe both.
─ Hi! Hello Miss Sully. ─ Tsu'kida walked near the door while she did the hand greeting to the girl's mother, who returned it with a smile.
─ You can call me Neytiri, there's no need for such formality. ─ the oldest said while she gave Tsu'kida a wide and precious smile, making her mind see how similar Neteyam actually was to his mother.
─ Mom, can Tsu'kida help us? She's good with handicrafts! ─ Tuk said with an excited tone on her voice.
─ Oh no, don't worry Tuk, I don't wanna interrupt anything.
─ Oh don't worry sweetie, you won't bother us, in fact you would be really helpful! ─ Neytiri said smiling again, bringing memories to Tsu'kida's mind.
"Don't worry sweetie, you won't burden me, in fact I need your help with this now!"
She got lost into her thoughts, her memories. All those afternoons she stayed at home to help her mother prepare food and wrap it with leaves they had grabbed earlier.
─ Tsu'kida? Come on, sit here with Kiri and me! ─ Tuk said making the girl snap out of her thoughts, patting the floor next to her for Tsu'kida to sit there.
