In hindsight, promises were meant to be broken. Willow shouldn't have expected any differently.
When the Cullens left, so did Jasper. Willows life completely changed. Paul became distant, Bella became a shell, and Willow became rage.

Willow was in love again. There was no doubt that she loved Koda. It felt slightly different from when she fell for Jasper. She was consumed by him. They were attached at the hip and the two were hardly separated from each other. Even Charlie was ecstatic to see Koda come through the door.
Bella spent most of her time with Jacob and she seemed to be healing too.
All the while the pack and Koda were protecting Willow and Bella from afar. Paul scolded her anytime she went somewhere by herself. Even Sam gave her a lecture about walking home from work by herself.
Willow was comfortable and content.
So why did she dream of Jasper.
His memory consumed every sleeping thought. One night she even woke up crying to the memory of him.
It was a Saturday and Koda had left her alone to a note when she woke up. It was covered in hearts and a promise to be home soon with her favorite breakfast. She dressed in a pair of his boxers and an oversized hoodie and headed to the kitchen to find fresh coffee. She hummed while she made her cup she noticed a commotion in the woods.
A large two tone gray wolf rolled into the ground with clumsy movements. The eyes caught her attention. She had never seen that wolf before but she knew though eyes and the wolf was afraid.
She quickly threw the back door open and stumbled onto the back porch. The wolf winned and stood to full height.
"Hey, are you human?" It felt dumb coming out of her mouth but she shook that off and stepped closer. The wolf attempted to nod and Willow quickly bounded down the stairs, bare foot on the rain soaked grass.
"Is this the first time this has happened?" Again the wolf nodded. Timidly Willow held her hand out and pressed it to the forehead of the wolf. "I need you to breathe and relax. I can help."
She had to stay calm or else the wolf could panic again. She spoke calmly and rubbed her thumb slowly between his eyes. Gradually the wolf relaxed until he was laying down. In a flash, he transformed a naked man laid before her.
Embry laid before her.
"Willow? Help me." Embry sounded tired and exhausted and before she could say anything he passed out.
"Fuck me." Willow mumbled under her breath.
It took twenty minutes to carry Embry into the house. She was exhausted and sweaty and after laying a blanket on top of him she collapsed on the floor. The front door quickly opened and Koda walked in with containers and a confused face.
"Hey baby." Willow was breathless and didn't raise her head. "Embry's a wolf."
"Since when?" Koda sat everything down on the kitchen table and quickly appeared at Willow's side. He helped her sit up and wiped sweat from her forehead. "Are you okay?"
