Third POV

The three headed hellhound, Cerberus glared down at the trio. To any normal person, Cerberus would be terrifying. A gigantic black and mahogany colored, three headed Rottweiler with blood red eyes, razor sharp teeth and nails and, much like his sister the Chimera, he also has a snake for a tail. Percy could smell both Annabeth and Grover nearly pissing themselves in fear. He looked up and the flickering monster and narrowed his eyes.

"How're we gonna get pass him?" Annabeth asked. "Grover, can you do any of your saytr, animal loving stuff?" Percy asked. "That's not an animal Percy. He's out of my jurisdiction. May I suggest a priest?" The goat boy offered. Percy snorted. "Sorry, I didn't bring Kate." He joked. "Who?" Annabeth asked. "One of my girlfriends. She's a Christian." Percy replied. They nodded in understanding. "Annabeth, any plans?" She though about it. "Can you summon a ball or something?" She asked. "Don't tell me you're gonna play fetch with the king of hellhounds."

"Do you have a better idea?" Percy shrugged. "I can't make a ball, but I can definitely make a giant stick." He offered. "That'll work." She said. Percy held out his arm and turned into wood. The wood expanded until it was the length of small boat and he cut it off, turning his hand back to normal. Annabeth watched with a dead face. "I'm just going to assume you can do anything from now on." She shook her head and picked up the stick. As she was walking towards the three-headed hound, Grover got close to Percy.

"Do you think she'll live?" He asked. "Dunno, but if she doesn't we can speed by while he's eating her." Percy said. "That's screwed up man." Grover said. "It was a joke, calm down." Percy waved dismissively. Well, you've all read the story so you know it worked. Only this time, Cerberus was left playing with his new stick. Now they're approaching a large courthouse. They had opted to go around the building and while they were doing so, Percy suddenly felt extremely heavy. Like someone had picked up the world and said 'hold this for me cuz' then dropped it on his shoulders.

The heavy feeling quickly disappeared though as strength filled his very existence. Percy felt like he had just snorted a line of coke so big, it stretched all around the world. He literally started vibrating. No one had time to notice that though. No, what called their attention was Grover's magic shoes activating on their own and dragging him towards a large and guarded hole in a dark corner of the underworld.

Percy quickly shot a web at Grover, catching him in the back and stopping him in his tracks. He was moving so fast that Grover was lucky his neck didn't snap from the whiplash. Percy pulled him back to him and Annabeth and helped him take the shoes off. They immediately shot off and down the hole. Percy stared in the direction with boredom. Then he heard it. A voice. A voice that wiped the bored look off of his face and made his eye widen. A voice so deep and ancient, he could feel it in his soul. Percy's ears actually started bleeding.

"Oh, you are strong. My servant was right. Come my grandson. Deliver the bolt to me. Join me, the gods will not care for you." It said. Percy was frozen to his spot. "What the hell was that?" Annabeth asked. "I don't know. It might've been an earthquake? We are in Hades' domain." Grover suggested. Percy looked at them in shock. 'They didn't hear that voice?' He wondered. "Percy? Are you ok, your ears are bleeding." Annabeth asked. Percy shook his head.

"Yea, I'm fine. Let's keep moving, we've come this far." He said. They looked at him in worry, but didn't question it. They followed Percy all te way to Hades' palace. A huge gothic looking castle made with black marble, stone and bones. They approached the large double doors that automatically swung open. Percy steeled his nerves and strode in with Grover and Annabeth behind him. "I'll be doing the talking again." Percy said just as the doors slammed shut behind them. They took some time to look at the doors before going back to their conversation.

"Why can't I do the talking?" Annabeth asked. "Because you'll do something stupid like demand he give the bolt back." Percy replied. "That's what we're here for." Annabeth grouched. "Yes, but we don't know if he has it. It'll be pretty dumb to demand he give us something that he doesn't even have. Also, I'm still betting on Ares." Percy said. Annabeth would've retorted, but they came to a stop at a set of doors encrusted with bones. Black flames lit lanterns on each side of the doors and on each one, there was a large skull with a knocking ring in its mouth.

Percy reached up and use the ring knock loudly. He didn't mean to, but his strength with the large door and from the sound of it the Erik behind the door was mostly empty, the echo was really loud.

"Enter." Percy pushed open the doors and walked in. Sitting in the middle of the room on a throne made of human skulls and obsidian surrounded by hellhounds and different soldiers that died in all the different wars, is Hades. His face pale and somber with black bags under his eyes. His eyes themselves are also an intense black, like glittering tar. He's dressed in a black robes that swirled and waved with souls. Percy dipped his head. "Lord Hades." He said.

"Perseus Jackson." He acknowledged with a critical eye. "My, you do look like mother." He said, almost approvingly. "Its unfortunate how the stench of the sea clings to you, no matter how much you try to hide beneath the stench of a monster." Percy chuckled, despite knowing that Hades was insulting him. "Aww, and I wore my girlfriend's perfume too." He joked. "How amusing." Hades drawled.

"Well, on to more important things." Percy said. "Yes, where is my helm?" Hades asked, glaring down at the trio causing the room to become cold. Grover and Annabeth shivered, out of fear or the cold, no one knows. Percy simply smirked. "And with that one question, my theories are cemented."
