Percy's POV
"Works been stressful, but rewarding. College is the annoying thing." Gwen said. "Find any good stories?" I asked. "Nothing you'd find interesting, unless you'd like to hear about the recent and odd abundance of stray cats." I shook my head. "That's more her style." I pointed at Felicia. "Speaking off, is it you letting them out of the pound?" Gwen asked.
"No." Felicia answered cheekily with a smile. Clearly lying through her teeth. "Good. Guess we can assume it's the cat burglar that used to steal very expensive art." M.J said just as cheekily. Cat stuck her tongue out at her. "M.J?" I asked. "Nothing. Boring as it is everyday." She shrugged. "Well, I'll be in New York for a good week, so I'll try to liven it up." I smiled. "I'm sure my mom would be ecstatic to see you so often." She winked. I blushed. "Damnit." I cursed under my breath. "Really Percy? You've got M.J, Cat, Bayonetta, Jeanne, Lola, Darcy and Angelia as girlfriends and you still get flustered that easily?" Brie asked. "Leave me alone." I grumbled.
"Yea, leave him alone. It's cute." Cat said with a smirk. "I am not cute." I glared at the platinum blonde. She just winked back. "Brie, anything interesting lately?" I asked aggressively eating a chicken egg roll. "Aside from the flaming fuck popping up again last night, no. Nothing." She glared at me. "It wasn't my fault. Well, it actually was, but I had a good reason." I said defensively.
"Gimme one." She growled. "Gabe." I shrugged. Brie paused. "Fuck that's actually a good reason." She said while looking down. I nodded. "Fine. You're off the hook. For now." She said with clear annoyance. "So, who're you going to see first? After the week is up." Mary Jane asked. "Dunno. I told Lola I'd go see her so likely her. I mean, I could go see the girls in Gotham since they're closer, but who knows what they're doing." I shrugged. "Probably still being Batman's lackeys." Brie snorted. "Do they even know that we all know?" Felicia asked. "Nope." I said, popping the 'p'. "Wow, they go through all that trouble to hide who they are and forty-four people know." Brie shook her head.
"It is pretty obvious. Once you find out who Batman is, the rest are like domino pieces. The only one who would've gotten a pass was Cassie, until she stopped being 'Orphan' and started being 'Black Bat'." I said. "Yea, dumbest decision she made." Brie agreed. "I'm willing to bet a lot of money that all of their 'villains' know exactly who they are and just don't care." Felicia said. "I'll take that bet." M.J agreed. "If I make a story on it using the evidence that should be common sense at this point, think Batman would visit me and tell me to shut up?" Gwen asked.
"Let's not test that until I've gotten back from my travels. Kay?" I suggested. "Aww, Percy wants to protect you from the big bad bat." Cat teased. "Yes, because a man that watched his parents get killed, never got therapy and now runs around at night dressed as a giant bat with his panties outside his pants, beating up criminals using nothing, but anger and vengeance as motivation is totally stable." I said sarcastically. "Fair enough." She nodded. Gwen's phone buzzed and after checking it, she sighed.
"Work?" Felicia asked. "Yea, my boss has been running me ragged on this damn cat case. Thinks it'll get the Daily Bugle shivering. Yea, cause the place that has intel on the freaking government is worried about cats." She asked. "Oh, welp bye honey." Cat said sweetly and I shivered. "Ugh, don't say that." I groaned. "Why? What's wrong with me called her honey?" She asked. "Nothing, but I was forced on my quest for the gods after fighting some bat monster that called me 'honey' with a way too sweet voice." I explained. "Are you comparing me to a bat monster?" Felicia asked with a sickly sweet smile.
I stared at her. She tilted her head, eyes wide with a crazy look in them. I looked at Gwen and M.J, but they avoided eye contact. I looked to Brie who found the food extremely interesting. I looked back to Cat and reached into my pocket. From my super secret storage dimension, I pulled out the green card.
"If we drop this right now, you get this for an entire week. It's a magical card from a magic hotel & casino that has an infinite amount of money on it." Cat's eyes sparkled. "All you have to do is return it to my mom at the end of the week." She nodded vehemently and snatched the card. "Deal." I nodded.
"Good, now you can pay for this. I gotta go. See ya babes, M.J I'll probably see you tomorrow." I said kissing Gwen and Brie on the cheek. That didn't satisfy the vampire hunter though. "Do I look like a pussy to you?" She asked and pulled me into a deep lip lock. It was like that for ten seconds before she pushed me back. Not pull away, pushed me. I shook my head and walked out of the shop. "Did he forget that we already paid?" Brie asked. 'Huh, seems I did.' I thought. Meh, my memory should be back to normal tomorrow. I jumped up to a roof and swung back home.
As I was doing so, I got a call. Pulling my phone from my pocket, I answered without looking at it.
"Hello?" I asked. "Hey baby." A sultry voice said on the other side. "Oh, hey Lola." I said. "Aww, that's all I get?" She asked, I could hear the pout on her face. "Anymore and you'll get a big head again." I joked. She huffed cutely. "Anyway, are you done with your business? I wanna see you." I sighed. "Give me a week Lola and I'll be in Bullworth, promise." I said. "Aww, a week. That's too long." She said childishly.
"You'll be fine." I groaned at her antics. 'This girl.' I though while shaking my head. "But I'm all hot, just talking to you is making me so wet." She moaned hotly. My eye twitched like I was in an anime. "Lola, please. I still have people to see in New York, where I live and my mom was worried to all hell. Give me a week and I'll be there to play with you all you want." I said. "Ohhh, ok. Fine, I can wait. But when I see you, I'm taking the role of vampire." She said. 'My gods.' I groaned internally. "Yea, you can drain me of everything I'm worth. See ya then." I said and hurriedly hung up. I sighed tiredly.
"If the gods aren't, she'll be the death of me."
