LXXIX. A Darkness Within (Part 1)

Leota nodded and pulled out a blank blue card. "Find her." Leota then vanished with the card leaving Yuko alone.

"Find who? What are you trying to tell me?!" Yuko cried. He fell to his knees surrounded in darkness. "Why me?! Why am I the Heart of Unity?!"

Yuko's surroundings began to brighten up a bit and he heard laughing from behind. He turned and it was like looking inside of a mirror.

"You.."

"Me." The other Yuko said. "It's been awhile."

"I tried to make it an eternity." Yuko stood. "What do you want Yoku?"

Yoku laughed. "Isn't it obvious? I want control. With Diron gone, I have no master to answer to. Plus you have the strongest power in the universe printed on your hand. Of course, I want to take over. Besides, if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't even be able to control that mark as well as you do. I keep you balanced."

"What do you mean?"

"You're not strong enough on your own. You need my help in order to stay you."

"Okay now you're just speaking nonsense."

"Am I really? Do you ever feel a little tingle in your heart whenever that mark glows?"

Yuko looked down at his Mark of Unity. The tattoo was visible on his skin now, but it didn't glow. "Yeah?"

"That feeling was me. I've been gaining back my strength after losing to you last time. Now I'm reborn and I'm ready. Ready to take you down." Yoku summoned and activated a black duel pad. "Shall we play a game?"

"I beat you once and I'll do it again!" Yuko activated his gear. "Let's go!"

"Duel!"

[DUEL START]

"I'll start since I lost last time."-Yoku

"It doesn't matter. You won't win."-Yuko

"We'll see."-Yoku

Summons Oblivion's Twin Hydra(Dark/Lv.3/1000 atk).

"T-that's Diron's card! How do you have that in your deck?!"-Yuko

"He's my old master Yuko. Plus, I copied your deck while you were sleeping. That should explain those nightmares you were having. Terrifying stuff you were seeing."-Yoku

"You must be the one causing my PTSD!"-Yuko

"I wish it was me, but that's all you. You're scared."-Yoku

"Of what?!"-Yuko

"Of killing you're friends. You already killed Alec, Ito, and Deltrus."-Yoku

"No I didn't!!"-Yuko

"Keep telling yourself that."-Yoku

Activates The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh.

"I'll use this Special Summon the furball from my...I mean our deck."-Yoku

Special Summons Kuriboh(Dark/Lv.1/300 atk) from his deck.

"Now you have you have three Zeo Materials..."-Yuko

"We both know what that means!"-Yoku

Melds Kuriboh(Dark) and Twin Hydra(Dark/Counts as two Zeo Materials) to Zeo Summon Ator, Guardian of the Afterlife(Dark/Lv.7/2500 atk).

"Aw. Our ace. He hasn't seen any action since the duel with Xerus. You used him pretty well."-Yoku

"What are you talking about? I didn't use Ator!!"-Yuko
