"You could wait till I'm not around to diss me." They said. Crossing their arms, they flipped their hair and smirked. "You can't split me up without the Dragon Balls, so you don't need to worry about me anymore. Y/n's injury won't open up while we're fused, so she's fine. You may leave."
Whis deadpanned at the rude fusion, tapping his staff on the ground. Their body began to glow, making them look down at them self, panicking. It was happening so fast, they didn't even know what to think. They didn't even have time to form one last thought before Shin's body tore apart from Y/n's, taking away his side of their shared mind as the fusion unwound. The two yelped as they fell to the ground, pain shooting through Y/n's body as she remembered she was still quite fragile.
"Well? How do you feel, now that you've wasted most of your time here?" Whis asked, sounding slightly annoyed, but more amused than anything. Y/n huffed, glaring at Whis.
"It wasn't a waste of time, I liked being with Shin—!" She tried to defend herself, but Whis cut her off.
"Regardless of how you felt, you didn't consult anyone of this. Are you even aware that the Namekian Dragon Balls are currently null because of the Supreme Kai's last fusion shenanigans?" Whis asked. Y/n's eyes widened as she looked back to Shin, who looked both upset with himself and surprised.
"I-I completely forgot that they take a whole year to reset, I'm so sorry!" Shin apologized nervously, making Y/n sigh and pinch her nose. So they were lucky Whis was even capable of separating potara fusions. Shin was quite the questionable person sometimes. Whis chuckled, holding a hand out to Y/n, which she hesitantly took and stood up.
"So, how was it?" Whis asked. Y/n looked up at him in confusion, before realizing what he meant. She hardly even noticed a difference, besides the fact that she didn't have Shin's feelings and thoughts mingling with her own anymore.
"It was... Weird. As much as I like Shin, I think I prefer being close to him like this, instead of fusing. It was kind of lonely." Y/n said, sending him a small smile, to which he returned. He understood fully, as he'd missed the warm comfort of Y/n's smiles and words.
"I understand. But, despite what I said about you wasting time, you made phenomenal progress, willingly opening yourself up like that again." Whis said, giving Y/n a bright smile, surprising her. Whis turned to Shin, thanking him. "You've done a wonderful job taking care of Y/n and befriending her, and I thank you. But I'm afraid it's time for us to part ways again, as Y/n's training will now begin."
"Y-You're leaving?" Shin asked, eyes wide. Whis nodded, his smile dropping as he noticed the disappointment in Shin's face.
"Of course. With Y/n's condition as bad as it is, we'll need to start right away. We're lucky she's not having any problems at the moment." Whis said. He stepped closer to Y/n, placing a hand on her shoulder. She jolted at the sudden contact, looking up at him. She was just as, if not more disappointed than Shin. She was having fun, forgetting about the stress of life on Earth. But now she'd have to spend months in pain, training her body to accommodate her powers. She sighed, looking down. Whis noticed her sadness, clicking his tongue. "Ah, but as a Supreme Kai, you're more than capable and welcome to visit us any time. Lord Beerus is napping right now, so I'm in charge. Please drop by any time, I'm sure it'd be a great motivation to Y/n."
"Really!?" Shin and Y/n said in unison, the two looking at each other in surprise before giggling, a blush overtaking both their cheeks. Y/n cleared her throat, sending Shin a bright smile.
