At least some semblance of normal is beginning to return.
Wesley is as happy as a chocolate lab can be, considering the fact he has been living the good life here in HQ. Our two girls are finally beginning to warm up to him. They'll still bark and growl, but they're no longer outright aggressive. It's been a year in the making. Today, his handlers will be returning for him, so I hope he enjoyed his little vacation.
Teta's headstone is on order. Deliver is TBA, and then we have to navigate the cemetery policy. From what I've overheard, if a cemetery was ran by your average internet HOA.
Yesterday, The Coast Starlight, Train 11, ran an extra that I managed to catch and chase from Chular River Road, all the way to the Gonzales River Road crossing. That was fun. Of course, I'm still trying to get ahold of a way to properly manually program the railroad frequencies into my Btech GMRS 20V2 radio. I'm still using my trusty Uniden "Bearcat" BC125AT scanner for general radio scanning, but I hope to get the car-mounted 20V2 so I can have a permanently mounted base station setup. Oh well, things to work on.
Otherwise, I have been doing well in my post. At least, according to my recent reports. I have earned the coveted POB a couple of times now, not to brag if I do say so myself. However, payroll has not caught up to all the bonuses and overtime racked up over my last campaign. However, I'm not expecting any miracles, as the Army can move slower than a turtle riding a snail regarding these things sometimes.

I've finally decided to make some progress as to how in gonna bring back Goldman for WOH. I know he is going to be the biggest shot I've ever made in my writing career, and I want to do him justice, I just haven't gotten the time or motivation. Well now that things are beginning to settle down into routine, I'm beginning to find time, and chance has granted me the inspiration to get it done. It's gonna be a bit to fill the gap between "Motorcycle Scouts" and "Briefing Before Battle," so keep your eyes and ears up. I'll post my progress in the logs as we go.

I'd also like to put out my condolences for Seagull The Seawing, as he has fallen ill. On behalf of the 777th, we're all wishing you well and a quick recovery.

Stay safe, stay healthy,
Take care.
