There comes the night where no man can work.
I think I've done all that I can to reinforce the FOB with everything I could get my hands on.
You can't relearn a whole class over the span of a few days, at least I can't. Likewise, there is only so many weapons and ammunition available in the local vicinity to commandeer. Whether it be civilian rifles, antiques, makeshift custom builds, or the damn kitchen sink, we've got literally everything that shoots holding down our little 1-acre FOB. I've even gone so far as to set up mines around the perimeter, something I usually don't bother playing with, but we need all the help we can get if we all want to make it back home. I'm not worried that we won't make it back, my track record is only blemished in a few noted places. I'm more worried we won't make as much of a difference before the regular army arrives. Can't leave them all the excitement, can we?

The government and I are at odds. I was pulled over around six months ago for a broken headlight by Gridley police. That is not what concerns me, the interaction was great, an example I really wish I saved the recording for, and you all know my relations with law enforcement. However, the sign-off I mailed via certified mail to the Bute County Courthouse arrived but was apparently never processed. And it irks me that the signature of one of Gonzales' officers, is in the wind; and we just got a notification that the fine could easily double what we would have originally owed. We are currently combing through our records for proof of payment, and I know I have proof, but there's an annoying moment for all of us at HQ. We have the tracking number and receipt, and Dad is working on getting it sent up, but it's not a guarantee just yet. We're trying our best not to waste your taxpayer money.

I'm genuinely considering publishing the covers that I made for all my stories over on my Deviantart account. I'm not sure for the copyright, as I'm mainly just mixing and matching assets from other artists, but having all my art assets in one place at last will be a welcome improvement. And plus, expand the portfolio a little, for those it may concern.

As for other personal projects, finals are still taking priority. I've still got some last-minute things I need to get done, and burnout is a thing that exists. I'm no stranger to desperate struggles within a limited timeframe, but they all suck, and it also bleeds recovery time from my mandatory two weeks. (Yes, I get two weeks to myself for every semester for R&R before Uncle Sam sends me back to The Presidio.) So any and all progress on all my projects are pretty much halted. And on that related note, freaking Railroader just dropped and I am massively hyped. As soon as I can get it, I'm getting it, even if I won't be able to play it until after finals, gosh darn it. At least I won't be bored over the break. And with the amount of paperwork and shenanigans already reported to be waiting for me, I doubt I'll be bored anytime soon.

As of now, we are holding firm. All units are a little exhausted, but we are otherwise fully reinforced and prepared to fight for what we got. We'll do what damage we can.
By the next 抖阴社区r's Log, I will be writing from Gonzales HQ.

Stay safe, stay healthy,
Take care.
