"Ooo, it's so pretty!" Patty squealed.

I giggled.

"She's right Y/N, it suits you well," Liz added. Even though I wasn't wearing this dress for their admiration, it was still sweet to have them compliment me.

"Knock knock! May I come in?" It was Kid.

The twins looked at me, waiting for me to answer him.

"Oh uh, sure, come in Kid."

He opened the door and walked in with his eyes down. Presumably to not see me in the dress yet.

"Aren't you going to look at her Kid?" Liz prompted.

He shook his head, "No, me and Y/N agreed that I should wait until the party."

Whack! A shoe hit the wall right beside Kid's head.

"Patty!" He shrieked, "What was that for?"

"If you don't wanna see it then get out! Out!"

I laughed, "It's okay Patty, I'll just go change real quick, okay?"

"Okay," she shrugged, "but keep your head down until I tell you, okay Kid?"

Kid nodded, over exaggerating his fear, "Yes ma'am."

Still giggling from the scene, I walked into the bathroom that I had changed in before. Locking the door behind me I stood in front of the mirror and admired how I looked. Blue really was a perfect color for me.

Outside the door, I could hear the three of them talking. Although I couldn't make out what exactly they were saying, I had my suspicions it was about me.

Carefully, I took off my dress and put it back in the protector case that had come with it, and changed back into the shorts and loose tee that I had been wearing the night before. Unlocking the door, I stepped back outside, and saw both Liz and Patty sitting with their backs to me, and Kid still standing in front of the door.

"I see you made it out alive," he joked.

I didn't know how to respond, and instead just smiled at him.

"Welcome back," Liz greeted me.

Patty, however, had a much different reaction, and jumped up from the spot she was sitting, and wrapped her arms around me. "You're so cute!" She gushed, "Kiddo, if you don't take her I will!" She half joked. Even though I could tell Kid didn't take kindly to what Patty said, he still laughed.

With Patty's arms still around me, I stumbled over to the bed and collapsed upon it. Kid giggled at me.

"What?" I gasped out, over exaggerating my offense.

"Nothing, nothing," he said, still giggling, "it's just that you seem happy, that's all."

I seemed...happy?

That hadn't happened to me, not for a long time. Maybe my parents were right to send me here. Not to be a better weapon, but to be a better person.

For the first time since I came here, I thanked my parents. They didn't make such a bad decision after all.
