I walked down the hallway to Father's room, beyond upset. What the hell was this? The man who told me to come here wouldn't tell me why I was needed, so I was completely in the dark, which only made the situation more frustrating.
Almost kicking the door down, I entered Father's room.
Pushing down my emotions, I began to interrogate him, trying to figure out why it had to be now.
"Well see...we got some bad news."
My stomach dropped, I instantly knew this was gonna be about Y/N, "What is it?"
He took a deep breath, "Y/N's parents have died."
I was right.
Goddamnit, why was I right?
"I know this won't be easy to tell her, but it won't be easy to hear either, so I thought it best for someone she's close with to break the news."
Father was right, but that didn't mean I wanted to do this. It also didn't mean I had to be taken away from her right now.
"Well Father, if that's all I'll be getting back to the party if you don't mind-"
"Actually Kid, there's more. We've gotten some new information regarding the witches, and I think you should know about it too, being a Shinigami and all."
I sighed, and sat down.
I wouldn't be making it back to Y/N tonight.
