Over the following days Mattheo distracts himself more and more by spending time with Artemis in private, it seems to be the only thing that is helping Mattheo to keep his rage in check lately.

That first night when they had come back from Hogsmeade, Mattheo had looked over the wedding album that Hagrid had given him of his parents, and it was easy to spot Sirius Black in some of the pictures now he knew what to look for.

Mattheo ended up getting so angry that he completely lost control of his magic and set his bed on fire. And all of the Slytherins had to spend another night in the Great Hall while Mr Filch and Professor Snape repaired the dormitories.

It also landed Mattheo in a full Saturday detention with Snape sorting out live potions ingredients (flobberworms and such).

Mattheo just cannot get the thought of Sirius Black killing Peter Pettigrew out of his head. A small hunched over young adult that was blasted apart by Sirius.

Sirius Black whispering secrets to Lord Voldemort about the location of the house in Godric's Hollow.

And it only causes Mattheo to get angrier and angrier at all of the evil that Sirius Black has caused him in his life. It's a wonder that his daughter is the best thing that ever came into Mattheo's life, and that she is the only one that can calm him down.

The Undercroft is the perfect place for the both of them to sneak away, since no one else can get inside.

Mattheo lays back against Artemis' body, she's is running her fingers through his hair with one hand, and holding a book in her hand with the other.

"Do you ever worry that we have the same bad luck that our parents had?" Mattheo suddenly speaks, it's been nearly half-an-hour of silence that has caught him up in his own thoughts.

Artemis lowers her book.

"I...why are you thinking about all of that?" it seems like an odd topic for him to be wondering about.

"I was just thinking about my parents" Mattheo tells Artemis. "I don't know if being so much like them is a good thing or a bad thing. I have the same talents that they had, the quidditch skills and the confidence, but do I also have their knack for landing themselves in trouble?" Mattheo wonders. Does he have the same evil streak inside of him as Voldemort had?

"Yes, you do have that knack for landing yourself in trouble" Artemis giggles to the boy. "What is with the serious and deep questions? It's not like you" Artemis asks of the boy.

Artemis crouches over and kisses Mattheo's lips.

"All of the stuff that I heard in the Three Broomsticks. I mean, Sirius Black was one of my parents' best friends. I couldn't imagine Lorenzo or Frey doing that to me" Mattheo cannot understand how loyal friends can turn on one and other.

"Sirius Black cannot have been true friends of your parents. Lorenzo and Frey would take...and have...risked their lives for you" Artemis tells the boy. "Don't reward them with doubt about their loyalty to you. That isn't fair" Artemis smiles weakly at the boy.
