You walked from behind the bush, standing in front of the statue as you though of the clue Orpheus had given you.

"This is going to be a long day.."

"Mr Orpheus seemed to be giving me clues..Cornflower...Beloved place.."
The gears in your head began turning, connecting the clues you were given. Upon an earlier conversation, Orpheus had told you about the Ph levels left behind a rotting corpse, so perhaps that could play into part here. The mounds with cornflowers..and the rotting corpse with the Ph level could explain why there were only two mounds with cornflowers blooming...and Mrs Plinius did mention earlier that with exceptions for certain flowers, most ornamental plants , like cornflowers, prefer acidic soil..Could that be where Mary was buried?

"Its not at the stables..I think i know where Mary and Cyanus are buried; The hill amount the three that is only covered in withered grass. Maybe I can locate the necklace before they do."
There was only one was to find out if what you thought was correct. You headed toward the tower, where there was a shovel waiting at the bottom. You picked it up and made your way toward the mounds. Jogging slightly, you saw the mounds in the near distance. You smirked to yourself as you slowed your pace to a fast walk. You stopped right in front on the third mound, readying your shovel as you kneeled down. You dug a small hole in the side of the hill, smiling to yourself as you spotted a box inside of a horse's skull. You picked it up gently, taking the box out of the skull as you stood up straight, gilding the box out in front of you.

Just as you were about to open it, you heard Orpheus talking loudly, just loud enough for you to.hear, but not loud enough so that Kreiburg got suspicious. "I have to say; your really sharp Mr Kreiburg. You have the makings of a detective." You frowned as your heart beat faster. You decided it would be best to take the box and hide, as you would see Orpheus at the manor later, it didn't matter where you went. Though, just as you slid inside the pipe underneath the mound, you heard them talking above. "You have an analytical mind, Mr Orpheus. But being too brilliant may not always be a good thing." You heard Kreiburg's soft voice speak as you heard them right above you.

You heard them come upon the small hole you had made, and you heard Mr Kreiburg gasp softly. A part of you wanted to come out of hiding, and give Kreiburg the box, as it belonged to his family. Though despite your urges to return it, you stayed hidden with the box in hand. "Looks like someone beat us to it." You heard Orpheus's voice speak clearly as Kreiburg chuckled to himself. "Oh? Isn't it you and your companion that beat me to it..-" Just as he spoke, Orpheus attempted to walk off the mound, Only to be met with a gun at his back. Kreiburg had twisted a gun from the top of his cane, and pointed it at Mr Orpheus as he turned his head to look him in the eye. "-Mr Orpheus..?" Kreiburg and Orpheus stare each other in the eye, looking no higher or lower. "Show yourself. If im not wrong, its you..Mrs Reporter." Kreiburg demanded as he kept eyes on Orpheus. You slid from the pipe, the box in your hands as you gulped down your desire to cry. Just as you slid out from the pipe,

Kreiburg tapped Orpheus's shoulder with the gum, signaling for him to get off the mound. Orpheus silently walked off the small hill, making his way toward the fence, turning to face you once he stood still. You looked him in the eye, though his gaze showed no fear, only..satisfaction. "Bring that box over here and give it to me. Then turn around with your buddy and don't turn back until you hear a gunshot."
Kreiburg demanded once more, causing your hands to tremble softly. Despite your hands, you slowly made your way over to Kreiburg, readying the box in your hands to be given away as you looked at the ground. Just when you reached him, you looked up, just enough to see the bottom of his chin. He held a hand out, though just as you were about to place the box in his palm, he lifted your chin, making you look him in the eye as he smiled softly before he put his hand out once more. This time, your entire body trembled slightly, placing the box in his open hand before taking a couple slow steps back. Now, he pointed the gun toward you, making your heart pound faster in your chest as he smirked. "Get over there." He demanded, flicking the gun over to where Orpheus stood. Once again, you did as you were told, making your way over to where Orpheus was with tears welling in your eyes. "Now turn around and don't you turn your pretty little face back until you hear a gunshot. Otherwise, it will be the last He hears." He smirked once again as you hesitated to turn around. You turned toward Orpheus, who now had his back facing Kreiburg. "Its in our best interest to listen to him. There are calluses on his palm so he should be good with a gun. " Orpheus spoke calmly and quietly as you nodded shakily, before turning around and facing the fence. Orpheus's eyes shot down to your hands, which were trembling softly. He slowly reached hos hamd out toward yours, grabbing it gently as you jumped slightly. You felt his hand squeeze yours, and you squeezed his hand back. The two of you heard Kreiburg nod to himself, before hearing him run away.

As soon as the gun went off, you sighed. placing your free hand on your chest to calm yourself down. Orpheus slowly slid his hand off yours causing you to look at him.
You turned around, looking for any sight of Kreiburg. Though to your appeal, he was nowhere to be seen. That's when you turned to Orpheus. "Mr Orpheus, don't you think its strange? Mary's coffin isn't here, so where did Manus take her?" He smiled softly at your voice, seemingly content with the situation. "That depends on what Mary loved more then horses, jewelry and praise-" A loud siren cut him off in the distance, startling the both of you as the two of you snapped your heads in the sirens direction. You nodded, looking over at him before you spoke;

"Maybe we should get out of here first."
