A loud siren cut him off in the distance, startling the both of you as the two of you snapped your heads in the sirens direction. You nodded, looking over at him before you spoke;

"Maybe we should get out of here first."

The two of you made your ways toward the front gate, only to find it had been locked. You walked over to the side of it, observing the keypad next to it. "The gate seems to be controlled by this keypad." You spoke softly as you looked at the panel above the pad, looking for clues on the password. Orpheus took his finger off his chin, walking over to you as he smiled gently "Now it all makes sense, I saw quite a few cipher machines around the racecourse. They must be something the Master Of The Manor prepared for the game this afternoon." You nearly cut him off, worry dancing in your gaze. "Have you found a way to decode them?" He smiled softly once more before he spoke. "I think I have an idea, and it may be worth a try." He chuckled softly. "We should stary with the largest machine at the center of the racecourse." He gestured his hand back toward the center.

Thursday, 1889 9:36 Am

The two of you made your way towards the machine, occasionally looking behind you until you finally reached your destination. It was indeed, a large machine. You gawked at the size, causing Orpheus to chuckle lightly. "This seems to be the same cipher machine mentioned in those diaries." You thought to yourself. "It looks like a cipher machine that must be decoded with a key. But i dint know what the ket is.." You said as the two of you approached the machine before Orpheus nodded. "I think I know.." He said before he went up to the machine, observing the levers amd wheels Before turning a certain red wheel, and pulling a lever. Just as he did so; memories came flooding back.

"A little girl..strapped to a chair in belts..a lock unlocked..An axe swung.."

You held your head as you gasped, taking a step back suddenly. Orpheus noticed, and dismissed the machine to hold your shoulder with care. "What's wrong.?" He asked, his head tilting slightly as you looked down at your trembling hand. "I..I'm alright..Im just not used to...that sound." You hesitated between your words, looking at the ground while you spoke. You could aee out of the corner of your eye that Orpheus was observing your every move, including your now shaking hand. "Why don't you look for the other cipher machines? We'll meet back here. You can leave the decoding to me?" He smiled softly, reassuring you that it was ok. You nodded gently as you turned away to go look for the machines. Orpheus caught a frown upon your face for a split second before you ran off.

The machines were in various places, though despite their random locations, you counted about four other machines. Which meant there were five in total. You smiled to yourself, running back to tell Orpheus what you had found. Just as you turned away from the 5th cipher machine, the same sound from the large machine went off again, making you jump slightly. "What's with this noise again? And why are they amplified?" You shook the thoughts from your head as you ran back toward the large machine to meet Orpheus.

Thursday, 1889 9:45 Am

Coming up behind him, he turned around, his eyes brightening as he looked at you. "I think I know how to decode them." You nodded as he tilted his head slightly. "I've found five other cipher machines. The first machine I found was near the lookout, while the second one was near the three mounds. The third was found near the stables, and the fourth was near the maze." You smiled softly, proud of your finding as he nodded in approval. "Then now..-" His words were cut off by his looking just above your head, his eyes widening in fear. "Who...Is..that..?" You tilted your head, turning around swiftly. "Who is-" You cut yourself off as well with a gasp. A large ghastly woman, covered in a filter of blue appeared behind you. Her haor was messy and unkept, and her dress was tattered and worn. She pulled a shard of glass from her side, showing no reflection when it pointed to herself. Though the color in her body returned when she pointed the shard at the two of you. Her eyes were a deep black, and her dress, a vile shade of red. She lunged at you as soon as you stepped back, causing you to freeze up. Luckily, Orpheus pushed you out of the way, getting himself cut in the process. He groaned in pain as he sat himself up. The woman lunged at him once again, though this time you picked up a stone, and threw it toward her. It fell through her body, though it still seemed to anger her as she flew after you next. You ran the opposite direction, calling out to Orpheus as you did so. "I'll distract her! I leave the rest to you!" You yelled as you disappeared behind the bushes, the ghastly woman following. You caught sight of Orpheus standing calmly, brushing off his pants and buttoning his cuffs with a slight smirk before you lunged behind the bushes.

You were forced to jump and lunge over fallen debris, and run under signs. Though even after all your trying to keep her attention, she always seemed to want to go toward Orpheus. You ended up throwing rocks at her whenever her attention flew to the different cipher machines Orpheus was working on. Eventually, the gate opened on its own, causing you to question what Orpheus had to do. You ran toward the gate, stopping right in front of the welcome sign. Just as you took a step forward, you heard someone calling a name behind you.

"Y/N.."

You immediately turned around, only to be met with a slight spray of something to the face. As soon as you breathed in, everything got foggy. You began stumbling, trying to get out of the gate as you saw the woman flying towards you, readying her shard of glass to stab you. You turned around, attempting to run, though all you could do was fall. Just as you were about to fall to the dirt, you felt someones arms wrap around you and lift you bridal style. You fell limp in their grasp, falling asleep slowly as you heard them chuckle faintly. That's when everything went black.
