INVISIBLE STRING ?

Sora's pov

" Can you raise it a bit higher, just a bit" i said to the guys who were raising the banner.
" Okay perfect" i said and went to check if the caterer arrived yet.

" Can't we try at least?" I heard Nara's voice. I stopped in my tracks.
" Can you not do this today?" Seungchoel said in a heartbreaking voice.
" Seungcheol,I am trying to understand you but you keep pushing me away. Do you want us to work or not?" She said more harshly again.
" Nara i liked you for so long what makes you think I don't want us to work?" Seungcheol said, the hopelessness in his voice very evident.
" You are me making me think that. You know what I cannot be here today but congratulations again for making to the top" she said with a spite in her voice. I take a deep breath and walked ahead to see she left.
He turned around, i could see him tearing up but tried to smile when he saw me. I quickly run up to him and hug him tightly.
" It will turn out to be okay oppa, don't cry" i said as i patted his back with small taps.
I have never seen him cry before and it breaks my heart to see this sight of him. He slowly wrapped his arms around my waist and i could feel his tears fall on my sweater.
" It's okay " i kept saying. After hugging for few minutes i broke it and cupped his face to make him look at me.
" Oppa just forget everything and be happy today. Just look at me and I'll make faces to make you smile okay? it's your day today just smile" i said wiping his tears and he nodded and smiled slightly.
After he stopped crying,he went inside to meet everyone else.

" Yes you can keep it here" i said motioning the delivery guy to keep the flowers on the table. After sometime the boys were also here and i led them to their seats.
" please tell me you guys have chicken" wonwoo oppa said and i nodded smiling.

After a few minutes the ribbon cutting ceremony started and seungcheol cut the ribbon along with the other owner. Everyone clapped and congratulated him.
Now everyone was sitting in their seats and it was time for seungcheol's welcoming speech so i stopped in tracks and stood their waiting for him to speak.

" I want to thank everyone for coming to this special event and I cannot wait for the students to learn judo along with taekwondo. I welcome mr.park to the taekwando family. Today someone told me that 'its your day today so just smile ' so thank you for giving me that advice " he completed and looked through the crowd at me and i smiled back at him. And as i promised I made a funny face to make him smile which resulted in a small chuckle from his side. After the speech everyone had food and i also ate because I was starving after all the work.
After the event almost everyone was gone. So i was sitting along with the boys.
" You did a great job in making this place look less aggressive " seungcheol said smiling as he clinked his glass with mine,
" My pleasure " i said smiling.
" Noona i like your job, can you hire me too?" Chan Said making me laugh.
" I think you should stick to dancing for the time being " i said and he smiled and nodded. We all sat and had good talks here and there.
" Okay manager nim let's get you home " Jeonghan oppa said getting up from his seat.
" I still have to pay and get paid oppa, what's the hurry?it's only 8 right now " i said looking at him.
" I have work so i thought I'll drop you off before I go" he said.
" It's okay I'll drop her" seungcheol said making me look at him smiling.
" Okay drive safely, bye guys" he said and patted my head and left.
After sometime everyone else started leaving and i gave everyone their hard earned fee.

" Ready to go?" He asked smiling the moment i stepped out of the academy, i nodded and got in the car. We sat in silence but i kept glancing his way to check if he is doing okay.
" Why are looking at me ?" He asked chuckling. Oops he caught me okay now try to play it cool.
" Me? When?" I said looking outside the window.
" You did since the moment we got in the car" he said smiling
" I was not! I was just looking outside the car,the view on your side is better" i said pointing out the window to prove my point,even a toddler can tell I was lying.
" I am okay Sora, don't worry" he said making me look at him with a softened expression.
We stopped at the signal and he looked at me as the red light reflected on Both of our faces.
His eyes were trying to say something but i couldn't get it. He has never looked at me this way. I took a deep breath and nodded
" I know" i said and smiled.
The signal turned green and he started driving again.
" How's the raccoon?" He asked, a chuckle escaped my lips. " He is hanging in there" i said and kept looking at him without hesitation this time.
Please only like me and no one else was the only sentence I was holding in. But it's better that i keep it to myself.

We reached my home and i got out and so did he. He followed me to the gate and stood there with his hands in his pockets.
I looked back at him and couldn't help myself so i just engulfed him in a hug.

He was startled at first but then slowly crept his arms around my waist and tighten the hug.
" It's not my place to say this oppa but never let anyone treat you the way she did no matter how much you like her" i said and i really meant it. I would rather see him date someone else than to see him get treated like this.
He snuggled his head into my neck and i felt warm. I broke the hug but still kept my hands on his shoulder while his were around my waist.
" When the world is heavy on your shoulder, let me know I'll help you carry it" i said smiling and he stood there saying nothing but looking at me with a strange face he had in the car. I bid him goodbye and went inside but when i peaked out my window he was still there not moving.
Is he really okay?

(Epilogue)

" Why would you tell me that you like me if you were going to kiss my bestfriend?" Sora asked her boyfriend who stood there with a sorry face.
" Look I liked you before but not anymore" he said and just left. Tears fell down her face and she turned back to see seungcheol looking at her.
" What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at college?" She asked him wiping her tears.
He just walked to her and hugged her.
" It's okay, you can cry " he said which made Sora bawl her eyes out while he stood there patting her back.
" He didn't even apologize" she said in between sobs. Seungcheol broke the hug and made her look at him
" Forget about it,just forget everything and only look at me for now" he said as he wiped her tears.
