INVISIBLE STRING ?

Sora's pov

I woke up and got ready and went downstairs to have breakfast but all i could think of was about what seungcheol said to me yesterday.
I looked at Jeonghan and he looked at me raising his eyebrows in question
" Is seungcheol oppa okay? Did he hurt his head somewhere or something?" I asked which returned in a smack on shoulder from Jeonghan's side. I yelped in pain as i gave him a glare.
" Why would he hit head somewhere, don't say things like that" he said eating. I just ignored him and started eating my food.

I couldn't get it through my head and it was bothering me so i decided to go to the academy first to know his intentions otherwise i would think about it all day.
I walked in the academy and saw seungcheol shirtless fighting with another guy. My eyes stayed on him while he defeated the guy and they both bowed down to each other after the match.

He looked at me and smiled with his big doe eyes that i always fall for.
He walked to me while wiping his sweat off with a towel.
" What brings you here early in the morning?" He asked keeping no gap between us.
" Why did you say that yesterday?" I asked not moving from my place but I was already feeling like my legs were jelly.
" What did I say yesterday?" He said acting ignorant just to tease me. i looked at him with a soft glare
" That you want to be the guy i like" i replied putting my hands on my hips.
" Aren't i already the guy you like?" He said smirking.
" Choi seungcheol what are you trying to do" i said looking at him with a serious face.
" Ok so we are already dropping the honorifics. And about that thing i said is simple" he said stepping away making me feel his absence .
" No it's not simple and i don't understand it"i said taking a step towards him and looking him in the eyes.
" Well I'll make it simple for you. I like you and I want to be the one you like so I am going to pursue you starting from today" he said making me lose my breath. I gulped at his words and stepped back.
" So can I?" He asked
" Can you what?" I replied
" Pursue you?" He said stepping closer to me again as i lost my balance but he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me forward.
I took a deep breath trying to maintain an eye contact.
" Do whatever you want" i said trying to not care as I started to walk out of the academy.
" I'll take that as a yes" i Heard him shout from behind but i just ignored and kept walking.

Since when does he like me? Why does he like me? Didn't he like Nara? And if he liked me why did he leave? Why is he telling me all of this now?. should I tell him that i like him?is he playing a prank on me?
All these questions ran through my mind throughout the day as i tried to focus on work.
A knock on the door startled me, "come in" i said. The door opened revealing seungcheol walking in with a tulips bouquet in his hand.
" Oppa what are you doing here, this is my work place" i said as i got up and quickly draw the curtains.
" So can't confess my liking in public okay noted" he said pretending to take mental notes. He kept the flowers on my desk
" That's not what i mean" i said but a smirk appeared on his face making me realise what i just said.
" So that means I can show it in private?" He said as he walked closer to me and i just started walking back until my desk came in between, he bent down on to my level as i just sit on the desk motionless.
" Can I take you out to dinner tonight?" He said smiling, i was about to say something when my assistant opened the door and looked at us. Seungcheol didn't move and inch and just kept looking at me.
" I'll come later ma'am" she said as she was about to go out
" No no it's okay, he is leaving anyways" i said looking at him.
" Am I?" He said smiling and i glared at him.
" I'll come pick you up at 7" he said as he put a strand of my hair behind my ear and left.

I don't know how to react to all of this.
"Ma'am this a project for the marriage but they said they want it to happen in jeju so we might have to fly there soon" my assistant said giving me the file and i nodded.
After work i left the office building only to see seungcheol waiting for me outside. I don't know if i want to be with him, he left for the girl he liked and suddenly he is back confessing his love for me? How does that work?

" Here" he said as he gave me the plate with sliced steak. We both are sitting in a restaurant eating steak but everything feels so out of place like i am taking someone's space.
" Everything alright?" He asked and i just nodded eating.
As we were eating someone walked to our table, i looked up to see Nara standing there. See i knew I was taking her place.
" How are you both?" She asked smiling, i smiled and my eyes fell onto seungcheol who looked at her with a longing look. He still likes her doesn't he? Then why am I here? I feel sick to my stomach.
" Seungcheol, I have moved to Seoul. Hope I can have dinner with you sometime" she said to him as he passed her a weak smile. My heart ached deeply. She left after few minutes and i kept silent throughout the dinner.
As we walked out it started raining.
" Oppa I'll go home on my own" i said as i started walking in the rain, it was better standing next to him.
He pulled me by wrist and looked at me with sad eyes.
" It's raining Sora, get in the car I'll take you home. You'll catch a cold" he said trying to take me to his car. We were already drenching in the rain. Why does he care still? If he likes someone else why does he care for me?i couldn't hold it in anymore
" Why do you care ?" I shouted as I released my hand from his grip. He looked back at me with a concerned look
" Because i like you Sora" he said making me look at him with tears filling my eyes.
" No you don't" i said sobbing
" Yes i do" he said
" No you don't oppa, I am a second option for you. If you liked me you would have never left. If you liked me you would have stayed. If you liked me you wouldn't look at her that way. And now she is here and there are no complications right, you can be with her?" I said in a straining voice as i shivered from the cold. Tears kept coming out of my eyes.
He walked closer to me and tried to walk me to the car.
" Let's get you home first Sora please you'll get sick " he said but i pushed him away slightly
" No no i won't. Do you have any idea how much and for how long I have liked you and how much I've seen you hurt because of her?" I said shouting again.
" Sora her father died the day i left for deagu I had no intention of going with her and I liked you long before that. When you saw me hugging her that day i felt like i didn't deserve you at all. I went back to deagu because mom got sick again so I stayed there till she felt better again. Not because of her, i gave up on her a long time ago. You are the one I need " he said explaining the situations in his life. My heart stopped when he said the thing about his mom.
" Is she okay?" I asked stepping closer to him.
He nodded as tears escaped his eyes too.
" Tell me then" i said placing my hands on his cheeks.
" Tell you what?" He asked as he put his hands on my waist.
" How much you like me" i said smiling.
He looked at me with wide eyes and brought me closer to him
" I'll just show you" he as said as he connected his lips to mine. His lips bring a soft touch at first and break away, we both look at each other with longing eyes as I went to kiss him again.
He put his hand on my lower back and kept kissing me. His kiss got intense every second.
I think we kept kissing for a whole minute non stop.
We break away after few minutes and looked at each other. We both smiled
" So any chance you want to be my girlfriend?" He said smiling
" A hundred percent" i Said chuckling.
" That love percentage was so wrong " he said making me look at him in a questioning manner.
" It's said that i only liked you 17% but I like you 200% or maybe even more than that" he said smiling making me laugh again.
" Okay so that was your reliable source " i said grabbing his arm and walking towards the car. He just laughed.
If the high school version of me found out she was just asked out by Choi seungcheol she would have died dead.

(Epilogue)

Seungcheol sat on bus stop as a tear fell down his eye. He just lost his scholarship, the one he worked for so hard and for so long.
" Here" he heard sora's voice, he opened his eyes to see her offering a lollipop to him. A smile crept onto his face.
" Whatever it is oppa,it will be okay" she said smiling sweetly at him. She doesn't even know what's going on but she comforting better than the people who knew.
" I heard about the scholarship. Don't worry I'll work hard and earn a lot of money and give it to you. Can you wait till then?" She asked making seungcheol finally laugh.
She is definitely something! He thought
