My dreams that night were full of my past and when I awoke the morning, after reliving every moment in vivid detail, I decided to avoid Draco at any means necessary. Most of the day was filled with students hustling around to prepare for the dance tonight.
I sit on my bed and eye everyone getting into their extravagant dresses and fluffing up their hair. I have nothing better to do than to watch.
"Aren't you getting ready?" A girl, Ruby, comes up to me, concealer in hand.
"Oh no." I laugh " I'm not going."
"Oh come on! Why not? " She asks sounding genuine.
"I just don't want to." I shrug.
"No you absolutely have to go! Come on", Ruby starts pulling me off the bed by the arm," I'll do your make up and then you get dressed." She sits me down infront of the mirror.
I try and protest against it, but Ruby keeps on insisting that I have to go. I finally give in.
"And we're done!" She says on delight.
I take a moment to take it all in. She did a everything green type of theme. My lips in the most beautiful shade of green. Eyeliner swirling around my eyes like a snake and a green plus black shimmer dust on my eyes.
"I just knew green would suit you! Oh I certainly do hope you have a green dress ready!" Ruby says excited. I'm pretty sure she's more excited about this dance than I am.
I in fact do not have a green dress but I'm pretty sure I can conjure one up when everyone leaves.
"Ruby ... This is amazing how did you pull it off? Wow."
She just shrugs like it's nothing. "A natural gift I suppose."
It's not long after that when everyone is out of the room finished but I still hear chatter down at the common room. I don't know what they're waiting for but hopefully they'll be gone when I'm done.
I stand infront of the mirror and whisper a spell. A puff surrounds me and when it finally clears I have a green dress, squeezing at my waist lace seizing all around it and then flowing into a beautiful puff in frills down towards my knees. I put on a necklaces that wounds tight around my neck with a red crystal in the middle. Giving a little bit more life to my outfit. Lastly I put on some black heels that lace up my legs almost like a snake I suppose. I go towards the door but there's still voices coming from down in the common room. I brace myself and wish on my lucky star that Draco isn't out there, and open the door.
