Poor Bumblebee ended up staying in the med bay for the day. It seemed, from what she heard from Bulkhead and Arcee, that Bumblebee would act strangely even in front of Ratchet. While the medic searched for what might be causing this in Bumblebee, it was safer for him to remain in the med bay while he was being assessed. Azura felt bad for Bee, as she knew he wouldn't have wanted to be in this position. But at least he was in good hands, and Bulkhead ended up helping Ratchet a lot with Bee.
Arcee helped too. But she showed Optimus the oil she had found that would be good to allow Azura to have an oil bath, and she brought him the oil so he could assess whether the oil would be good for the sparkling. Azura was hopeful that she could try it, because she has heard about it, and she was definitely intrigued about trying what an oil bath was like. She knew she would have to wait for Optimus to approve, but she was hopeful.
Azura spent time out in the lobby drawing and painting until she got bored after a few hours. Azura was now in her room on her own currently, and she had set up some of her plush toys around a table. She had been playing for an hour, and she was pretending her toys were superheroes, and they were currently having an important meeting. Azura had her metal Stitch toy as the leader of the toys, and it was a meeting regarding an issue in the story the toys would have to deal with.
If anyone was watching her, they would certainly agree that this was very cute. Azura had a very creative mind, but she also wanted to pass the time while everyone else was busy. And she also wanted to take her mind off Bumblebee for a while. And she liked the Avengers, so she was somewhat re-enacting some things from the movie, even if it wasn't accurate. Though while no one was watching, as there was a monitor in the room, the autobots could hear her.
Optimus and Arcee were in the lobby. "It would seem this oil is of substantial quality, Arcee." Optimus had taken the time to inspect it, and even feel some of it on his hand to make sure it was good for his daughter. "I haven't seen human oil of this grade, and it seems good for us. I think it might be good for a sparkling."
Arcee smiled at Optimus. "I was really hoping that it would be definitely good instead of might be. That's why I was impressed with the quality of the oil, and I know we can get more if Azura can use the oil. But you seem uncertain. I know it's not your expertise, so I guess it would make the decision a bit harder."
"I know enough to know what is safe. The only reason I say it might be safe is because Azura is still a sparkling. It feels good for us adult bots, but you and I know how sensitive sparkling bodies are, especially when they do not have their exterior covers on." Optimus paused as he could hear Azura laughing as she continued to play with her toys, and it made Optimus smile. It was great for her to explore her imagination, it was one of the many things he himself misses from when he was a sparkling. "While I believe this oil is good for us, for a sparkling, I don't think so. Ratchet should make that final decision as well, not me. But that is what I am feeling regarding this. It was a good suggestion, Arcee, but it might not be as you thought it would be."
Arcee wasn't upset as she understood. "Well...when Ratchet has time to spare, I suppose he can confirm. But he has been dealing with poor Bee for most of the day." Optimus nodded in agreement. "I won't be upset if Azura can't have an oil bath today, Optimus. She will have a chance eventually." She paused as she listened to Azura as both she and Optimus could hear her yelling while she played with her toys. "At least she's keeping herself entertained.
Optimus nodded. "Yes. It has been nice to see her embrace being a sparkling. It took time, as growing up in a world with humans, believing she was at an age where she might be considered mature and learning she is actually still an infant, it took time for her to get comfortable. She is definitely mature for her age, given her early years, but she has embraced her true age. It is wonderful to hear. Especially...since she deserves to enjoy it."
