Jenson
A sharp elbow to my ribs caused me to whip my head round to my right, ready to slap my best friend as he broke my concentration. He grinned at me, scrunching up his nose, then pointed to the TV.
Snapping my head back around, I watched as my character on the screen keeled over, blood spurting from his neck where his head should be, dying right there and then.
"Dude!" I snarled as the sounds from the game playing on the TV grew louder. "You just made me die!" I pointed to my character who was now being attacked by a horde of hungry zombies.
Oliver just grinned as he jabbed his elbow into my side again. "You're shit at this game," he chuckled, pointing out the obvious.
The fuck?
I tossed my controller at him, and watched as he dodged it. It missed him and crashed on my bedroom floor, the battery falling out of the back of it.
Shit.
Oliver laughed again as I reached over to ruffle his hair, and he grabbed my hand as I strained against his hold.
"You made me die, asshole," I muttered as I shoved him.
He fell on his side, laughing away.
Yeah, yeah.
Laugh it up.
Asshole.
Frowning at him, I slumped back on my bed, crossing my arms over my chest. I hid my smile as I watched him giggle at me, his blue eyes lighting up, his blonde hair falling across his forehead as he tried to sit back up again.
Fuck.
He was so fucking beautiful it was unfair.
Seriously unfair.
He took a deep breath, and shook his head, pulling himself up to sit next to me on the bed.
"Asshole," I muttered, not meaning it at all.
He glanced over at me, a smile still shining on his face. My heart stopped, just for a moment, as his blue gaze held mine.
I could get lost in the blue oceans that were his eyes. Seriously.
Fucking beautiful. Just like the rest of him.
Fuck.
Get a grip, you fucking moron.
Play it cool.
I shoved his leg with my socked foot, and he giggled again. I tried to hide my own smile, my heart soaring as I listened to him chuckling. I would do anything to hear him laugh.
Taking a deep breath, I glanced off to the side, pretending to be pissed at me. I wasn't. Not at all. But I played along anyway.
Oliver leaned over, pressing into my side as he rested his head on my shoulder. "Have you finished throwing your tantrum?" he teased, his voice light.
I took a deep breath, willing my heart to stop beating so strongly. I mean, if it carried on knocking against my ribs like this, I was pretty sure I would have a heart attack.
Shit.
I was too young for that.
Shrugging my shoulder to shake him off, I heard Oliver laugh again. He pointed to the floor.
"You broke your controller," he stated.
"You made me break it, genius," I retorted, then reached over to ruffle his hair. He groaned as he tried to dodge my hand and failing, my fingers running through the soft strands on his head.
