"Do you know a girl named Emilia Harper?"

"Mia?" Morgan swallowed hard, his head swam with the pain medication he'd been given. The man's face looked like a blur and his arm was still throbbing with pain. "Officer - Officer ..."

"Officer Coley."

"Can you answer the questions? Any? Both?

"Officer Coley," he felt a hand on his arm as he turned to see a dark haired woman with a strong, professional voice.

"Ma'am."

"I'm a bit confused. Could you help me for a moment?"

"I'm actually in the middle of quest -"

"Yes, you see, that is where the confusion comes in. I could have your badge taken for questioning a minor without one of his parents present, when he is obviously in pain, sedated, and on strong pain medication."

"Are you this boy's mother?"
"No. I'm his lawyer. Alexis Davis." She put out her hand as if to shake his. "On second thought, I don't shake hands with amateur cops that prey on the vulnerabilities of children. Now, when Mr. Conrithos is in good enough health to give his statement you can call my office and make an appointment to speak with him or I will be in touch with the commissioner, who happens to be a good friend of mine."

"I guess I'm leaving then." He grumbled.

"I would appreciate it. Maybe rethink your career path on your way out." She yelled toward him.

"Ms. Davis? Am I in trouble? What's going to happen to me?" Morgan Corinthos looked close to tears which angered Alexis, considering what he was going through physically.

She smiled reassuringly, smoothing his hair away from his face.

Sonny stopped as he drew back the curtain slightly, coffee cup in hand. He shook his head as he saw Alexis standing next to his son. She shouldn't even be on her feet. Yet, there she stood speaking calmly to Morgan. He started to make his presence known, but it meant too much to him to watch the woman he loved comfort his son.

"You shouldn't be thinking about that right now, kiddo. You need to focus on getting better. Do me a favor?"

He nodded.

"Close your eyes." He still looked anxious.

"I'm - I'm in big trouble aren't I?"

"Close." She said, tapping lightly on his forehead.

"Forget, you ever saw that officer. Hopefully, I'll have him suspended within the hour. You are safe, and you're going to be fine. You just let me handle the legal stuff. Okay?"

"Okay."

"You just let all the adults be in charge of the scary stuff, and you rest."

Alexis watched as he began to drift off again. She gave his hand a small squeeze.

"Will my Dad be back soon?"

"I'm right here," he tried not to laugh as Alexis jumped slightly at the sound of his voice.

He sat down his coffee and stepped up to where Alexis was standing next to the bed. Sonny took his son's hand in his and spoke so softly only she could hear him.

"Come to see me and, yet, you seem surprised I'm here."

"Unsure of how you might react, maybe?" She smiled slightly.

"Well, considering how things are going. I'm close to reacting by firing half of my security detail."

"After all those goons have done for you ..." She mumbled.
